Sony KD-55X9005C - Four Red Flashes

    Hi everyone,
My first thread. Bought new just over two years ago with one year un-extended warranty (i.e., out of warranty) the t.v. was powered on, went through the Android loading screen - displaying the animated coloured orbs forming into the word "Android", started to display the picture from Virgin Media box - then immediately shut down - no sound, no picture and the S.M.A.R.T indicator unit at lower edge of screen displayed 4 flashes of red - pause - 4 flashes etc., etc.,. Switched off, powered on - same symptoms. Powered off overnight, disconnected from mains - switch on - same symptoms - t.v. displays Android loading animation then switches off (no longer displays a t.v. picture (i.e., Virgin etc.,)
Obtained repair manual - fault indicates (in likely order) 1. LED Driver board, 2. Main A/V logic board (main PCB), 3. Power board (two of : A & B)
    4. Screen (WTF)
    Have substituted 1 - 3 - exact same symptoms.
Have stripped screen, exposing the three banks of 72 LED's (216 in total) - the middle board (centre / bottom) has three failed LED's (I am able to power up LED panel with T-Con disconnected - defeating VCC test??)
In short, I need the (ideally) three panels replaced with new or a donor component for supply of the oddly shaped/sized LED's.
    Easy enough - no.
I am so far unable to obtain the boards from anywhere, I am unable to identify/source the individual LED's, I have yet to hear from Sony regarding any 'fix' for my unwarranted 2 year old t.v.
Anyone with similar experiences and offers of advice would be greatly appreciated. The LED boards are stamped "NLAW50350 with either LS2/LS3/LS4" and the number "5071201-212-0577" - Thanks!!

worth trying this guy on ebay
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/tvrepairl...1&_ipg=&_from=

he has a fair bit of different leds available

see what measurements he needs and take from there.

Thanks for that, Although I don't see part listed on eBay - surely this wouldn't be a Sony exclusive part? I have sent off a message via eBay messaging to eBay seller with a full description of part - fingers crossed.

Do your LEDs look like this ?
Photo taken of an LED on a Sony strip I have here and also the replacement 5630 I was going to use if it was a failed LED.

          Hi Diif,
Unfortunately the images you have kindly posted are not similar to the one's on the led boards in this telly.
I have (hopefully) attached two piccies of the offending components...

Think I saw some led kits on shopjimmy, some were priced at 10 bucks.

Sony OLED XR-77A80J - 5 Flashes But Turn On After Hard Reset
              by odie34
I am a hobbyist (not a professional) so please be gentle...

I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen. The set appeared to be working normally, but it shut down after about 15 seconds,...

Sony Android TV KD-49XE9005 4 red flashes
              by Dangerousk
              Hi there

Have Sony KD-49XE9005 that has been working fine for some time now. switched on this AM and after a few seconds screen blank and red LED flashing 4 times. Tried resets and all responding as expected expected and after booting up, after few seconds of displaying normal broadcast picture, screen goes blank red led flashes 4 times in sequence.

Anyone have schematics/service manual for this series. have checked the obvious items and caps test OK, voltages etc appear correct onwards.

              thanks

              Sony OLED XBR-65A8G 4 flashes
              by Glaval
Hello, my Aunt recently gave me her broken Sony XBR-65A8G OLED after getting a replacement. It had a 4x led flash error, a replacement T-con didn't fix the error but with helpful info from this forum I found one of the smd ceramic caps on the panel pcb (C575/C378) on a 24v line was shorted to ground. I removed that cap and the tv turned on without error. It still had a black screen with the original t-con back in it, once I put the replacement t-con in it finally had a picture. After doing a panel refresh it had a very good picture but with a few vertical lines for some scenes. For owners with...

Sony OLED XR-77A80J - Initially dead, now 4 Flashes
              by thstuff
              A) TV initially dead
              B) On a hunch of a locked up Google OS, plugged in a USB memory stick with latest FW and plugged it in. It booted into the update screen, completed the update and restarted to Home screen.
              C) Was able to perform a Reset from Settings menu and completed out of box configuration.
              D) Ran a 4K screen saver demo for about 6 hours, then turned it off for the day. Did not notice any stripes, dead zones or other artifacts in the image.
              E) Powered back on and it now runs for a few minutes before relay clicks, screen goes blank, Main Board Red Digital Optical...

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
              by Pipolups
              Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...
