I have a faulty main board of LG 55LW6500 TV and LG stopped making them any more and I am unable to buy replacement anywhere. I do have access to LG 55LV5700 TV's main board which visually looks exact copy. Can I use it?

Re: Main board substitute for LG
For anyone who gets into the situation like me, I have found the substitute for the original mainboard.
LG makes a repair package for LG 55LW6500 TVs which includes a mainboard, a small remote PCB, a magic remote and a regular remote. The part number for this assembly is AGF78482709
I ordered this today and hope to get it in next 7-10 working days.
I will update after installing it.

One thing I would like to mention is I lost one HDMI port so now I have 3 instead of 4 but that does not matter because I use only one and there is no VGA port in this one as well.

Re: Main board substitute for LG
only 248$? https://www.statewideapp.com.au/lg-package-assy-253711 doesn't really say anything about what you're getting.
Kinda seems really high. Do you know what's included?
Also, I just wanted to add, one time, I had two boards that where supposedly compatible and weren't. They looked identical, came from the same make and model TV, the one replacement I bought worked, just not in this TV. The one difference was some hack someone made a long time ago (maybe the manufacturer, because ShopJimmy _used_ to sell these boards with the same hack). No one could tell me what the hack did.
Anyway, I noticed all the small EEPROMs on the boards and just swapped them around. New board worked like a charm. Keep in mind though, with this television, there where a few extra boards that I don't normally see on TVs, like some sort of daughter board for the CD-ROM drive (a CD-ROM drive), etc.-- Law of Expanding Memory: Applications Will Also Expand Until RAM Is Full

Re: Main board substitute for LG
Unfortunately here in Australia its not cheap to get electronics repaired. I tried two recommended repair places and they opened their wide mouths. $66 to get a quote and $180 to put an new board in the TV. Main board charges extra.
All they didn't said to me was to turn around and bend. So I think "only" can go with $248
