Re: Main board substitute for LG
Unfortunately here in Australia its not cheap to get electronics repaired. I tried two recommended repair places and they opened their wide mouths. $66 to get a quote and $180 to put an new board in the TV. Main board charges extra.
All they didn't said to me was to turn around and bend. So I think "only" can go with $248

Re: Main board substitute for LG
Hi I got it from www.statewideapp.com.au in Adelaide Australia. believe it or not it cost me $248 only and It worked!!!!.
One thing I would like to mention is I lost one HDMI port so now I have 3 instead of 4 but that does not matter because I use only one and there is no VGA port in this one as well.Re: Main board substitute for LG<br ...ked!!!!.<br />...

Re: Main board substitute for LG
For anyone who gets into the situation like me, I have found the substitute for the original mainboard.
LG makes a repair package for LG 55LW6500 TVs which includes a mainboard, a small remote PCB, a magic remote and a regular remote. The part number for this assembly is AGF78482709
I ordered this today and hope to get it in next 7-10 working days.
I will update after installing it.Re: Main board substitute for LG

Re: Main board substitute for LG
Thanks for replying, but both main boards output double LVDS (one 51pin and one 41pin) which is similar too. Do you still think there will be a different T con?

Can I replace LG 55LW6500 Main board with LG 55LW5700?
I have a LG 55LW6500 LCD LED TV with a non working M/B. I tested the main board and it is not generating enough voltage according to schematic at many points. there is absolutely no voltage at LVDS connector pins. So I think main board is faulty. I have tested SMPS and it is generating correct voltages at all points. I tested the back lights by jumping DRV-ON to a 3.5 volt pin on SMPS and they are working. I did the flashlight test and I am getting nothing on the screen. Now, LG is not making new M/Bs for this model but I got hands on a LG 55LW5700 M/B which at least visually looks exactly same...

Main board substitute for LG
I have a faulty main board of LG 55LW6500 TV and LG stopped making them any more and I am unable to buy replacement anywhere. I do have access to LG 55LV5700 TV's main board which visually looks exact copy. Can I use it?

Re: Expertise needed 2 diagnose issue w horizontal lines
Hello Everyone,
I have a LG 55LW6500 TV and it stopped working suddenly. I had it connected to a computer via HDMI and I was watching a video on YouTube. All of a sudden TV turned off and then it came back on (just the front LED indicator light) but no picture, no sound and no backlights.
So far, I have checked the power supply voltages and they are correct. I checked the LED backlights by jumping the connectors on power supply board and they are good. Now I think the main board is faulty. Unfortunately...
