VS was around 200v and the VA was around 80-90V

ok then lets check the transistors on z and y , you can also check va vs resistance to ground on each board with cords disconnected and no power. power board is ok.

lean more towards z board since you replaced everything else er just about lol

Do you still think it could be the ZSUS even though I am able to get 200V with it still connected to power board and just the YSUS disconnected from the ZSUS?

I have to do some googling to figure out how to properly test transistors...lol.

if the z sus is blown open on it's connectors yes, probably what blew your y sus when you replaced it and why you didn't hear a pop again on your second y replacement.

Need to check it's transistors attached to heatsink. see if it is open if it has a dead short it would possibly blow something on y. this is where a light bulb trick in fuse holders would come in handy to prevent blowing new replacement parts.

how to test transistors and igbt transistors google both.

Mosfets as well and use numbers on the them to identify what is what.

Is there a trick to removing the ZSUS screen cables? The YSUS flipped up and they popped right out. This connector has pulls out but it seems like too much force is needed to disconnect those screen cables? I definitely do not want to damage these.

z sus usually have a pull out clip rather than lift up. once clip is pulled out till it stops you have to very very careful removing them as sometimes the 2 holes in lvd snags on the 2 little standoff inside connector this can be done by lifting up carefully on lvd as you pull at same time with little wiggle. But don't force.

I will have to try to find a youtube video. These cables are a real pain in the butt. You can feel them move in and out as they are loose once the connector is pulled out but they will not pop out.

                        Re: LG 60PB5600 Turning Off

That is because the 2 holes in lvd is snagging on standoff inside connector you have to lift lvd up and pull and very slight wiggle at same time but don't force it either. it can be tricky.

but not much wiggle if you wiggle too much it can rip the lvd from glass then it's game over.

Well, I will have to test the transistors with those cables connected as they will not come loose and I am getting so aggravated I will end up yanking them right off...lol. I guess I will just support the weight of the board with some string and use those cables as a hinge to access the back of the board.

Don't loose your cool game over at that point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXwo3vXPh6M try this guide from shop jimmy different tv but same procedure.

Here is another better one samsung but same wayhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXwo3vXPh6M

some are to be lifted up some are to be downwards depends on where the internal standoff are inside connector. my bad.

I saw the video but the tech in the video has no issues with the cables. They seem to pop right out and mine will not. I have tried gently pushing down and pulling up to no avail. Anyways, I just bought a new ZSUS off of Ebay. Hopefully, I will have these cables figured out before it arrives...lol.

By the way, I just noticed that the power cable connection which plugs into my YSUS board looks burnt on the second top metal tab. I performed a continuity test and it is showing connection from the ZSUS end to the YSUS end. Could this be the problem or would it not because it passes the continuity test.

loose connection will make things go bang , plasma does not like intermittent connection during operation under high voltage operation. This is why me and others tell folks never ever disconnect or reconnect anything in plasma while it is on and must give it 30 second discharge time and unplugged before you mess with any connectors of any sort. there is a lot of energy there.

Clean them and crimp it little bit and make damn sure it is snug and no resistance in continuity.

I just changed an z-sustin in a 42 inch hp plasma and yeah it was little tricky but had no real issue, not sure why you are, can you take a close up pic of it so i can see what is going on?

Here is some pics. All I can say is that the video that shopjimmy did made it look like a breeze just like it was when I removed the YSUS cables. My experience with these ribbon cables are quite different...lol.

Finally got around to getting the new ZSUS board in(Thanks for the pic it was helpful) and building a dim bulb tester as suggested.

The TV still will not stay on. With the power running through the Dim Bulb Tester(DBT) the sound will come on with no picture as before- if the YSUS is disconnected from the ZSUS. Once I connect the YSUS the bulb(100W) glows brightly flickers and then a clicking noise from the power board and this cycle continues.

I built the dim bulb from the specs at http://doktorsewage.com/tools-of-the...-bulb-limiter/ if that is of any importance.

Let me correct that last post. The TV WILL stay on with sound(as before) with the YSUS disconnected. But, when the YSUS is connected the bulb flickers while the TV power cycles...no sound and the tv will not turn on.
