HP 450 g1 keeps turning on even tho I shutdown/sleep . one way to stop the turning on cycle is pressing the power button few seconds thus force powering it off. But then sometimes it does not turn on at all but next day I try again to turn it on and it turns on.

It could be a lot of other things too. Is your bios on the latest version? What operating system are you on? Sometimes the "fast startup" option in Windows 10 can cause such problems. There could also be a device (network adapter or USB device) that is allowed to wake the computer.Comment

I've written all steps to resolve these issues in too many threads.
01.Remove all un-necessary components for posting like wifi, card reader/lan/sound ic etc one by one
02.Disconnect the power switch and short it directly to turn on.
03.Check DC-DC transfer circuit. If the 3V and/or 5V dc-dc conversion ic is partially broken, laptop will not completely shutdown. Just replace them.
04.Check PCI_Wake signal.
Problem lies within these 4 steps.Comment

This laptop refuses to sleep unless specifically commanded to sleep through Windows. If I close the lid, the screen does go dark just before the lid is closed, so it appears the hall sensor works. However, it will sit there, drawing 1.xx amps until the battery dies. If I command it to sleep, it drops down to normal sleeping current. If I have it sleeping with lid closed and I disconnect the power adapter, it will wake from sleep, even with the lid closed. I have updated the firmware, but still the fault persists. I've also verified power settings in Windows that the device is to sleep when the...

by joekajoekaHello,
I have a Seasonic X660 from 2011 a very quiet and reliable PSU it worked great but in 2023 started that it wont turn on when the PC is sleeping, if I switch fast the power switch on the PSU than it would switch on and also the PC wakes up from the sleep.
If the PC is shut down normally than also the PSU starts normally every time.
(I checked the PSU on another PC with the same result for sure the PSU is faulty)
Has somebody a clue what is wrong in the PSU? has somebody repaired this fault for this exact PSU? I would like to repair this PSU.
Thank You!...6 Photos -

by onlyseriesHello!
I have a problem with ASUS X541UV.
At first the laptop was shutting down randomly while loading Windows.
So I try to stay on BIOS configuration page, but after several minutes it shut down and never restarted.
Now when I try to power it on the lights come on for a bunch of seconds and then go off. The fan never spins.
I tried to measure all power rails and they are all present when the lights are on, except for the +VCCGT (iGPU) but maybe it is normal because the laptop has a NVIDIA chip.
I also tried to reflash the BIOS but nothing... -
by SteradiantMy Samsung UE40F6340, which I only use occasionally, has recently started turning itself off. It can take a few seconds to a few minutes before it happens. I've checked the auto sleep settings and similar options and found that none of them are enabled. I also unplugged all connected devices, but that didn't change anything. Of course, I also tried a different power outlet, which didn't help either.
After that, I opened the TV to see if there was any apparent defect, but found nothing. Pictures are attached. Then I disconnected the cable between the power board (right side) and the receiver... - Loading...
