    Vizio M552i-b2 intermittent screen issues

Purchased a Vizio M552i-b2 tv that wouldn't power on. Took the back cover off, and inspected everything. Didn't see any popped caps, or anything like that. Figured it was an issue with the power supply board, so I went ahead and ordered one. Installed it, but that didn't fix the issue.

After the power board didn't fix the issue, I went ahead and replaced the main board. Lo and behold, the tv powered on. However the screen was red. Also, the menu with the inputs is jumbled.

power up screen looks normal Disregard that light, that's a reflection of the power indicator.
netflix menu screen looks a little dark, but normal
playing something from netflix however, does not
    netflix menu with jumbled input
tried an HDMI input, with the same issue

I didn't get a good picture of the screen when it's red, but if I turn it on, but don't select any inputs, the screen is red. The "no signal" part is pretty dark too.

Anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be? Possibly a bad main board? Maybe a problem with a ribbon cable? I can't figure it out, and I'd rather not just keep throwing money at it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

May have to look up how to enter service menu and see if there are panel options to select
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

I looked up how to enter the service menu, but what options would I be looking for in there?

Were the printed numbers etc on label/s on the replacement board the same as on original. The main board is usually set up to produce output for a specific screen.

Honestly, I didn't check that. I looked and all of the ports are in the right place, etc. I'll double check that this evening though and report back.

Ok, so I took a look, and they differ slightly. Printed on the board of the original one is:

            Lakers 14M 49/55/65 MB
            13084-1
            748.00714.0011

On the new one I put in is the following:

            Lakers 14M 49/55/65
            13084-1
            748.00713.0011

So, the only difference is one is .00713 and the other is .00714.

Should I order the same one, and see if that works? It doesn't seem to be an issue with the panel itself, does it?

Have you accessed the service menu for panel options, lvds etc?

No, I haven't had the opportunity to do that yet. I should be able to this evening though. Anything in particular I should be looking for within that menu?

Vizio TV M50-C1 reboot cycle and static on screen
                          by spice_disc
I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                          by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                          by smic717394
                          Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

So our beloved M60-C3 up and died the other day. I was not there, my wife mentioned that it came on, displayed the logo, then showed the right half of the screen white and fuzzy, with the left half of the screen ok. However when I got around to looking at it, the screen would not come on at all. The indicator LED will come on, then dim a bit. After a while, the LED might blink a bunch of times. I can't get it to be consistent to do that.

So I've got the back off and am checking voltages. The capacitors on the power supply board visually check out. No bulges or anything. They all show...

Hey all I've been asked by one of our neighbours to have a look at a new to him pc he's recently built. He noted when he first built it he couldn't get any video out of the system but it seemed like it was booting into windows as he was able to use the caps lock light and ctrl+alt+delete wouldn't reboot the pc like it should if your stuck in a boot loop. Also the board he has all the post lights would go through their usual cycle and eventually turn off. He swapped the graphics card and still same issue so he asked us to have a look at it.

I hooked it up and at first couldn't fault...
