at this stage stop doing any test and bring all sockets in place... focus on the panel right side... it could be helpful here if you upload clear photos of the panel buffer boards.- you could see a sign of any damage on parts or the boards.

They are located here, where these 4 cables go.

They run along the entire length of the panel itself; you also need to remove the black protective strip to get to them.

Well I couldn't really get any good pics because I didn't get the entire bezel off. But all the boards under there look really good, all the ribbon cables seem to be fully seated.

Panel buffer boards to reach them had nothings to do with front bezel, just remove the speaker and the cover of the them.

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean. There is nothing behind the speakers. I removed the gray plastic bezelthat goes all the way around the back of the tv, and then was able to get the black metal cover that also goes all the way around the TV pulled down enough to check all the boards and ribbon wires on the bottom of the TV. This metal cover had a few strips of metal tape protecting some connectors. Had to carefully cut that tape to be able to pull that metal cover down to see the boards and ribbon connectors.

That's ok I understand. It just takes a while to get that torn down to that point and not a great way to support the TV while I'm doing it, and I am having a hard time finding the time to tear it down that far. I will try.

But I still have one question. And this may just be me not understanding how it works. Why is it that the pins 1-4 on CN202 only have 12v when we tie pin 15 on CN201 to get power form pin 3? Shouldn't those pins get power any time the TV is on? If not, when should we expect those pins on CN202 to have power under normal operation?

the answer of this questions i did explain it before.. because yours Mainboards didn't send signal order to PSU to switch on the T_CON 12V rail., so we did trick it manually just to be sure that PSU T-CON VCC circuit are fine.
reasons why Mainboards didn't send this signal... could be Panel / T-CON / Mainboards self / or LED BL... this why the testing should take different path to know which part exact the fault.

you are private user at home.. its unfair if any one here in this forum just write to you replace this boards or that.. as all cost § and it may the fault at other parts.

Thank you that makes sense. Ok here are some photos of the panel boards along the bottom. They may not be in the exact same order they were taken. Hopefully I got them close enough you can see them clearly. Thanks again.

you have on each side at the middle of left & right side U ribbon cable... you need to disconnect from one side for each left & right and turn on the TV see the screen how it llok

notice do it once a time for both side while all cable sockets LVDS should be in place connected as original

Ok I finally got around to doing this. I removed one half of each of those cables on each side of the TV. I turned the TV on each time. Voltages on the pins all looked normal. TCON was not ever powered on. And the led never came on.

A pic just to display how I had each half disconnected. Thanks again for all your help.
