Re: Hisense f42k20e turns on, screen goes dark
If you place your meter probes between the two legs of C810, what DC voltage do you have in standby and out of standby?

I just realized the first picture of the back of the set is incorrect. Please ignore that one.Leave a comment:

Re: Hisense f42k20e turns on, screen goes dark
In the picture attached, the coil with the black bands on it makes a low pitch buzzing sounds when the tv is in standby, and stops when it's switched on. The large yellow block with the sticker on it makes a strange sound when the leds light up, then stops when they go off (even with them disconnected). The sounds it makes is a little reminiscent of a hard laptop drive if that makes any sense.Last edited by x_orange90_x; 08-12-2017, 07:35 PM.Leave a comment:

Do you get the same reading if the connector to the LEDs is not connected?
It sounds like you have open circuit in the LED string.Leave a comment:

Hisense f42k20e turns on, screen goes dark
I have a hisense f42k20e that powers on and the power light flashes between red and blue about 6-7x, then a couple more times and remains blue. The panel lights up bright white then fades to black. I can see images on the screen after it fades. When it lights up there is a quick buzzing noise that sounds like it's coming from the power supply, and when the screen goes black the buzzing stops.
I took the following voltages on the LED strips:
1+ -- spike to 280v, drops to 133v
2+ -- spike to 130v, drops to 0v
I'm not sure what these voltages are really telling me. They don't match what I have seen in the past with other tvs.Last edited by x_orange90_x; 08-12-2017, 03:01 PM.Tags: None

by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... -
by Rav_tangleHi all , thanks for having me & I think this has been asked before but my case seems a bit odd.
I have a MacBook Pro , board 820-2915a and it turns on , chimes etc etc , keyboard lights up, fans spins , can turn caps lock on/off but screen is dead.
Iv tried the resets , shine torch through back logo , nothing , it seems the screen has no power. If I plug charger , it charges but if I disconnect battery it displays green light but won't turn on. Iv tried screen on with another board & it works & seems I'm not getting any voltage at pin 2 , next to ground pin .
is this... -
by reformattJust had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".
It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...07-31-2025, 08:37 PM -

by RunlincHi all, I need to change the backlights in a Hisense 55E76GQTUK. The screen is glued to the chassis, what is the easiest way of delaminating the screen from the chassis please?
also what double sided tape would you recommend to glue it back in? ….. or is that a question to ask once the screen is out in one piece?
Many thanks for any ideas you have. - Loading...
