Sorry for the delay in responding, I’ve been very confused.
I disconnected the Panel buffer boards but still only had 25v max output from the MB. I rechecked the buffer board components again with a newer multimeter but did not find anything amiss.
As a last resort i reconnected MB to the buffer boards without any pins being isolated. I was going to use Isopropol to coat the chip on the left hand buffer board to see if it was heating up during the start up procedure as I don’t have a thermal camera.
Switched on and it started up without any issue with...

Samsung QE50Q60TAU - Horizontal screen lines
Hi everyone, the tv was in a continuous reboot cycle. To get the best screen image i can I taped the VGH and VSS pins on the left side buffer board joining ribbon.
I am left with a good image apart from the black horizontal lines that I cannot get rid of.
I cannot find anything on the buffer boards that has shorted.
Do you think there is anything i can do to eliminate the lines, or are they caused by an internal panel short and the image cannot be impoved.
Many thanks for your assistance5 Photos

I still haven’t found any backlights and I have only found one bad led so I will change it on its own....

They seem to be an oddity, I have only found them for sale on a Russian website!!!
Thanks for all your help, I have never done a bonded screen before so I have learned a lot of new techniques....

Thank you for the replies, with regard to the LED there isn’t a problem (only me). I changed the LED and it look the same as all the others.
I have attached photos of the led strips and the lcd screen number. I hope you can find a source to buy new strips from so I can do the job properly before rebounding the screen. The led strips are 1080mm long.
Once again many thanks for your help.6 Photos

Thanks, that makes great sense on replacing the lcd on the bonding tape.
I had a bad backlight, but I’m having a problem finding Hisense 55E76GQTUK backlight sets from anywhere, there are 70 backlights in the set (5 strips of 14 lights on each strip). If I cannot find any I may have to just replace the faulty one on its own. Not an ideal solution and I don’t know how to match the luminance of the new led to the rest of them!
Will carry on looking but any suggestions as to the best way to continue would be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Brilliant advice, used a 0,5mm thick piece of plastic about 100mm x 25mm. Started bottom corner and worked my way around the screen, used a hairdryer to warm the edge a little, not sure if it was necessary. Only took about 15mins and not as difficult as expected
Thanks for the links to the tape and vid.

Hisense 55E76GQTUK screen removal?
Hi all, I need to change the backlights in a Hisense 55E76GQTUK. The screen is glued to the chassis, what is the easiest way of delaminating the screen from the chassis please?
also what double sided tape would you recommend to glue it back in? ….. or is that a question to ask once the screen is out in one piece?
Many thanks for any ideas you have.

HITACHI 58HK6100UA
When changing channels the top quarter of the screen is dark for 3 seconds before lighting up as normal.
This happens every time I change channels and is consistent. After the top backlights come on the picture is good.
I think there are only 4 sets of backlights in this tv, do you think it’s the top row failing or a panel issue or panel driver
problem? Or am I totally wrong?
Many thanks for any help.

Re: LG 49UH668V Blank screen
I can only go by reviews from Trustpilot in the Uk to form an opinion and if 88% of reviews say don't deal with them it would be unwise to ignore them. I don't think its negativity but common sense.
This tv was on its way to the tip, so I asked if I could have a look to see if I could repair it as I hate to see technology thrown away that could be saved.
I really appreciate the great help I've had from people on this site in trying to help me do just that.

Re: LG 49UH668V Blank screen
Changing all the backlights is not an economically viable for me I'm afraid.
Is there any way to replace individual LED's as these appear much smaller than any others I have seen. The light strips are 6916L-2453A
I would like proof the other parts of the set are ok, before I buy a full set of backlights
Many thanks for your help

Re: LG 49UH668V Blank screen
Took out the screen & diffusers - power on tv - no backlights flashed or lit up.
Isolated each Led rail.
Multimeter on diode setting - 17 of the 32 led's lit up, multimeter reading 1
The 15 Led's that didn't light up had multimeter readings of between .2 & 1.8 and the same readings reversing the probes.
Measuring the test points at the end of the strips the reading was .725 on all 4 strips.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks for all your help.

Re: LG 49UH668V Blank screen
Thank you for your reply.
How would I be able to isolate which led's are failing with a multimeter ?

Re: LG 49UH668V Blank screen
I cannot find out what MS is either.
If I disconnect the mainboard and just run the power supply the backlights don’t come on.
With the main board connected there is 3.3v at PWR-ON.
I checked the voltage at the LED plug on the PS board during switching on and there is no voltage surge, only a stable rise to 87v
