    Lg 32ln5300 32

Hi I just picked up a LG 32LN5300 32". Today it started having a white 2" image on the screen. Is this the back light strip, just wondering.
When no image is on the screen the white inprint is very noticable, but while a picture is on the screen it is less noticeable.

    thanks

not really good pictures, but you can see the white area on the screen. The area below the no signal bar.

I wonder of one of the reflectors that cover the LEDs has become lose so the light isn't being reflected in the same way the others are.

I use super glue gell. You will have to take the screen apart though.

That's the hard part, hoping to not mess up the screen. Super glue last pretty good. I have some loctite super glue.

IF the lens fell off the LED, than this thing should rattle.

Or a couple other leds have shorted causing that one to be brighter.

I use 3m double sided tape to stick the strips to the metal and super glue Power Flex Gel for the lenses.

                                  That's the stuff.
I've got sheets of 200MP adhesive I've cut into strips. It's stronger than regular double sided tape. There's plenty of fake stuff about but I got mine from ebay.

well after letting set most of the day, I fired it up. Looks better but has a little darker are where the lens is. I can watch it like this for now, but I know sooner or later I will be wanting to fix it right. Where can I get some of these small lenses.

To ask here... I have few devices with white screen problem, actualy nokia 2220 and some fuji? camera, and try to understand what is common problem to cause that issue.
Yes, both devices work everything else probably ok, I mean, I hear intro melody and keypress click sound, DTMF tone, power on off... all ok.
On desk is nokia 2220 slide, and I check all screen connectors and components arround it, measure voltage drop, but all looks ok. I suspect on slide flex cable, but it look ok and white screen is not interupt while flexing board, pushing conectors, and sliding up down. In attachment...

I'm trying to fix this laptop screen

Basically the owner is a computer shop and they brought it to me with two screens. They said the repair shop they use could not fix it, so I thought i would try to see if I am better than their current repairer!

OK so I have the original screen which works but has lines across the bottom quarter of the screen

I have the replacement screen, which they fitted and it worked. They then put the laptop on one side for a couple of weeks until they found a buyer. When they showed it to the buyer, the screen would...

So I've had this TV for a while now and I'm just getting around to trying to fix it. It has a bright white image right off the bat (as of now). Colors are normal and the image looks good, however the entire screen is washed out with white and subtle ghosting. I found a thread somewhere which someone claimed it was the long strips connecting the TCON to the LCD which were bowing and shorting out on the metal LCD frame. I took mine apart and found exactly that. They were bowed out, so I put electrical tape across them along with some padded spacers. Previously, before doing this, the image was polarized...

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
