well after letting set most of the day, I fired it up. Looks better but has a little darker are where the lens is. I can watch it like this for now, but I know sooner or later I will be wanting to fix it right. Where can I get some of these small lenses.Leave a comment:

thanks diif, I just got through. The lens turned a yellow color with the glue under it.. I hope this will be ok.. gonna let it dry for a long time before I stand it back up.

where can I locate some 3m double sided tape.. big box stores carry them or do you have to order it from an electronic store.

Okay I just opened the tv up and this is what I found. What's the best glue to attach the lens back with. The strips needs to be glued better too. any ideas.

That's the hard part, hoping to not mess up the screen.
Super glue last pretty good. I have some loctite super glue.

Hi I just picked up a LG 32LN5300 32". Today it started having a white 2" image on the screen. Is this the back light strip, just wondering.
When no image is on the screen the white inprint is very noticable, but while a picture is on the screen it is less noticeable.

The logic board also sends the 5vd or 12vdc power for the T-CON board, if the voltage is not there, you
will see white/grey glowing screen only.
Not much repair you can do on the logic board unless you have the full service manual and surface
mount repair station.

I did not notice any signs of bad caps. Any idea what I should check. Screen comes on but is completely white. With the monitor cables disconnected you do not see the dell monitor screen.

Dell P2412Hb White Screen
Hi I was giving a Dell P2412Hb monitor and when I plug it in all I get is a white screen. I read that you should be able to run the diagnostic with no cables connected to it. I tried and all it shows is a bright white screen.
I added this to the below thread but wasn't sure if it was bad manners to add my monitor problems to another opened thread. sorry if it's a no no.
Before I open it up is it worth working on or is this a bad sign with just a complete white screen.

Hi,
I just got the same monitor for free. When it is plugged in it only shows a white back ground. The built in diagnosis does not run with all the cables disconnected, just a white screen. I have not opened it up yet. I was wondering what could be some of the things to check.
