I continued to have the problems even after I took the back off.

I haven't had it plugged in for months, but for the fun of it, I'll fire it up & watch Netflix on it. My issues seem to be related to using HDMI inputs, because the TV would randomly shut off only if I was using HDMI. I went months watching OTA.

Thanks for the reply! It's been months since I've posted about this!

I see, then it surely looks like a problem with your hdmi ports. I had a main board that would do that too, would be nice to know how to fix those ports but I'm sure it's beyond my scope.

Change the HDMI controller IC unless it's function is integrated into the main processor because it's likely a BGA and that makes it much more difficult for most including myself.

Thanks mmartell, I wish I had the soldering skills to do it, I almost tore up my balancer board putting a jumper on, lol, THANKS for telling me where the problem is.

Sadly enough they arent really worth much of anything as im finding many of the similiar sets im picking up at the recycling yard work fine and were tossed because in the owners eyes they were "old" and replaced with smart or 4k led sets so the fools can watch upconverted 480p or 540p in worse quality upscaled to 38xx lines of resolution until the leds burn out in two or three years if they are lucky.

I read somewhere that you should reapply the firmware whenever you change a board on these sonys.
