So I bought this TV off of craigslist. The guy told me it had a border LED problem. So after a couple hours of checking voltages and trying the input/vol- reset, I can get it to power up but only if the LED's are unplugged. I can see snow when I shine a flashlight on the screen. When I plug the LED's back in to the power supply, the led's flash for a second then the whole thing shuts down. Have any of you ran in to this before? Is this a shorted LED strip?

The led's do flicker through pulse width modulation, but you will not see them pulse. One or more led's failed and would have to be replaced to repair tv. Not that hard but a delicate job to get panel off without breaking.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Re: Sharp LC-60le600u
Ok, I found multiple problems. The connector on the power board had a couple solder joints that were bad. One had almost no solder. I repaired both of those. Now the LED's come on blindingly bright. But, there is one bad LED. Can I simply jump around it? Should I remove it? Do you know of any videos of how to do it?
