SONY KDL60-NX801 Panel

Does this look like a panel issue? Originally, this set had only thin green and white vertical lines on display. Replaced T-Con with a new one from China.
Attached pictures are the result. Could possibly reseating one of the ribbon cables fix this?

Looks like a connection issue to me. I'd start with reseating the ribbons. Make sure none of the traces on the ends are damaged / bent.

If this is anything like the 46" version of this series that I've worked on, the t-con ribbons are an absolute PIA.

Indeed they are. There are four of them. Do they correspond with the opposite zones on the screen or is the far left ribbon from the back the far right side of the screen looking from the front? If I only need to reseat one, I would rather do that than doing them all.

I would try resetting them at the t-con since you now have new issue after t-con replace.

Yes, my question is how the ribbons equate to screen sections..I only have an issue with one ribbon..why reseat all four?

It should be the ribbon that corresponds to that screen section.

It was, indeed, a ribbon alignment issue. Working like a champ.

hi
I have a kdl60w850b with screen issue , one side puts mt tv to 5 blinks alarm , using just one side ribbons from t con works fine but only half screen , anyone has any options ?
I might need new screen sine i swapped the ribbons from tcon from left to right and problem didn't follow and stayed issue with one side , also tried new tcon board and all voltage in good specs .

I would say you have problem with panel pcb board on the affected side

Sharp LCD panel... Snap a picture of the good side working and let us see what it looks like.

right side half is good as it can be no issue but when i connect left side ribbon to tcon its outs me in 5 blinks ,i pulled apart the tv right now so i cant take any pictures

My guess is the right side gate drivers on the right hand (side of the panel not bottom) failed.

Can you take pictures of the side panel drivers on the failed side?

there is nothing connected from sides , only 2 ribbon from bottom to each side

the side drivers aren't on boards, they are in the bonded ribbons on the side of the panel... look close.... that's what you need to provided pictures of.
