yes put the psu back in the tv connect it all up as how it should be and carfully test voltage across that capacitor againComment

i would of thought it should be slighty higher when the pfc circuit boosts the voltage up although the 450v on the capacitor is the maximum it can take it does not mean it should be 450v ive been trying to find a service manual for the tv but no luck as yet hopefully budm will have a read of this thread and have a idea what too check next as im still learning myself too ive attached a data sheet for one of the ics in your previous posts but cant find a data sheet for the other on, so bear with us im sure a more experienced members will advise on some more tests you can run soon.Comment

make sure you are using the legs of the capacitor to check the voltages for the large caps.Comment

im sure he tested that a few posts back now hes repaired the blown fuse it was 320v ive never worked on the pfc circuit so im still learning too from you guys as what too test next etcComment

Test the voltage on the VCC pin of the L6559 very carefully.
The DC voltage between Pin12 (VCC) and ground (negative leg of large capacitor) should be 10 -11.5V at turn on with a maximum voltage of 16VAttached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

im not sure what your checking you need to test the ic by putting negitive multi meter lead onto negitive side of the large capacitor and then the red multimeter lead onto pin 12 of the ic and take the voltage reading be carfull not too let the probe slip as can short out small pins easily ive marked the ic you should be checking with a yellow outlineAttached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Hi everyone,
I've got this LG TV here that wouldn't turn on and be stuck in a standby loop (blinking red once every other second).
Did test the following:
* LED's seem fine as they all light up using LED Tester
* Power Supply supplied around 111V for each LED Strips (2x edge lid strips)
* PWR_ON would be at around 3V but dropping every other second (just like the standby light)
* DRV_ON is doing the same
* power supply has a green LED onboard, but that doesn't seem to do anything (stays off the whole time).
* there is a tiny clicking... -
Hi there,
I have this ASUS X453MA Laptop that's not turning on. When I plug in the charger, the green light just keeps on blinking and pressing the power button does nothing.
I have checked the charger and it is giving 19+ V
I have disconnected the battery and pressed power button for 30 seconds.
I tried another RAM stick.
Tried disconnecting the keyboard and touchpad.
Tried disconnecting the HDD and the wifi adapter.
The problem persists.

Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited... -

I was looking for a schematic or board view but unfortunately I didn't find anything.
By connecting the drain and source of pq58, the device turns on and works perfectly, but the battery doesn't charge, and I don't know the path of the circuit to the MOSFET.
Is the problem with the adapter? Or is there a problem with the MOSFET activation circuit?
Please guide me.

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.
So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off.
