Yes, we do need good clear pictures.
'all i get is the vizio logo turning orange when power is apllied nothing else' That means the standby power supply is working otherwise you will not be getting the amber VIZIO.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A Dead
Output connector of the power uspply board are labeled to tell you what they are, so take the DCV reading and report thEe DCV readingof each pin.
Make sure to report in the format for us to easily see what are there what are missing.
I.E
24V pin = xxxV
'A' pin = xxxV
BTW, I cannot see the label for all the pins, the wires are in the way.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A Dead
yes that is the exact match and the only one im getting voltage on is the 2 5vstandby pins which is 5 volts, im thinking one of the voltage regulators is bad but maybe not becasue i cant turn on the tv so i dont know if the psu is giving the motherboard all the voltageLast edited by Super360; 10-02-2016, 10:03 PM.Comment

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A Dead
If that is the case then you need to test all the Voltages of the Voltage regulator ICs of the main board next.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A Dead
That fuse for the 12VDC will not have the 12VDC on it until the main board sends out the PS-ON signal to turn on the rest of the power supply.Never stop learning

Check the resistance between GND and output of U5 to see if it shows <50 Ohms, if not then change U5 first to get the correct Voltage.Never stop learning

by Iain PHi everybody!
I've got a Vizio E65-F0 smart tv that is good and dead. It shows no signs of life when I press the power button on the back. The power LED in the lower right corner doesn't light, there is no backlight and no picture.
So I took the back off and started poking around figuring one or more of the caps had dried out. My esr meter says all the caps on the power supply board and the mainboard are less than 1 ohm.
I decided to check the voltages coming off the power supply they are as follows:
connector CN201
pin 1 (18vsb1)... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by catnappedRecently had my bedroom Vizio D40u-D1 apparently die while it wasn't being used. Noticed the power LED flashing, figuring maybe a software upgrade, but attempting to turn it on proved that wasn't the case. When powered on, the power LED will flash a bunch of times after about 2 minutes then turn off again. Definitely is no picture even with a flashlight on the screen. Had the opportunity to open it up over the weekend. Doesn't apper to be anything out of the ordinary visibly inside, nor any odd smells of escaped magic smoke. Readings from the connector in the corner of the power supply board...6 Photos

by fharris1977Hi. Anyone who has experience with these vizio sets, which pin on this connector is the standby, the 5V pin? Trying to rule out the PSU before ordering a mainboard. I'm getting 0 Volts on all pins on this connector. Trying to jump the standby and PS ON pins to see if the PSU is functioning. Thanks in advance.1 Photo

by fharris1977Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.1 Photo
