50pk590 working but in green

Hi

My lg 50pk590 wouldnt switch on (switched on but with a glow no picture or standby light)- so I took a main board from mates tv and tried it in mine and the tv came on as it should.

I got my hands on a replacement board with the same ETB number. The tv turns on as it supposed to - but with a green background . Please see attached photos.

When I press settings there is also a hint of green.

Has anyone come across this- any help would be appreciated?

the voltages were all within a volt

(I cant run the test patterns becauseit doesnt seem to have ext autogen on the tcon)

Is there any way of tweaking it in the hidden menus - or is it just not worth the hassle?
But when I run the options after orbiter (used to get of rid screen burn) the display is as it should be.

It does , you just don't know because it's not labelled.

Join the 2 pads R51,R52, that's the autogen

I dont think you can set it up for another panel matey, best go with a board for that exact tv.

But strange thing is I decided to play the games that are built into the set and a couple of minutes later the green actually disappeared.

It started to act like a normal tv. But then when I turned it on and off the green was back again and then it turned to black, what I mean normal no green.

Maybe you need to uplug and reseat all your connectors again?

I switched the tv on today and theres no green screen. (display menus are fine).

However I've still got a little green tint around the lg logo cube. I'm also getting a green flicker around images on a dark screen.

I then reseated the Tcon to main board ribbon several time nothing changed.
I've changed the Y sus still no change.

Shall I reseat the buffer ribbons etc? Any ideas would be appreciared.

Try pressing on the mainboard, its not the buffers it will be a Mb issue IMO.

I changed the Tcon board and its fine.

The Tcon board replacement came with the replacement MB board. ( All from a donar 50pk590)

Is that normal?-EAX numbers were different on the main boards, But EBT numbers were the same.

Must be a Bga solder issue on the Mb very common on that chassis. Keep us updated on what happens
