Yes it's a autoranging meter. The caps are reading similar to others. I think initially I wasnt being careful with the probes....

Re: Samsung ue58tu7100
Hi In regards to your first reply only those two caps but I don't regard them as faulty.
Yes the optical port is on....

Re: Samsung ue58tu7100
I've just double checked the panel boards and found two caps which I have highlighted that are charging up with a multimeter. the ones I have come across never do that.
I've tried masking pin 12 to 20 no luck . Then masking pin 13 the screen displayed lines in both directions....

Re: Samsung ue58tu7100
Happy New to all.
Checked all those little caps no apparent short or low ohms.
individually disconneced the two ribbons that attach to the screen . Get pixalation on the screen when one ribbon/tab is removed but when both are attached tv just keeps trying to boot up but no image.
On the main board side the large ribbon(lower side of main board) I've tried putting a little tape between 7 and 12- which results in a the tv staying on with sound but no image but a lot of horizontal lines.

Samsung ue58tu7100
My mates samsung tv. Symptoms are backlights flash then switch off.
Some times it displays an image which fades. Suspect a bad panel.
Disconnected main board from psu and the backlights stayed on.
Reconnected everything. Then Disconnected the ribbon from main board to panel -backlights stayed on with sound but no image.
I suspect it's the panel and maybe the following chip on the panel. AAT7212 which I've attached a photo of (not very clear).
I've searched for a AAT7212 datasheet but couldn't find one.
In the attached...

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
I know this is an old thread but i was wondering if i can get some advice again . Got my hands on another faulty power supply with the same fault i.e the fuse was blown and the 4 mosfets k15a50d,irfi4410z were blown- replaced all 5 but this time it's blown only the two mosfets k15a50d.
The ic sem3110a was replaced with a new sem3110a ( took forever to arrive) just wondering anybody else has come across this and possibly a solution? Could it be the backlights or the led driver board any help would be really appreciated
It also...Last edited by thuss; 09-03-2021, 06:59 PM.

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Thanks - i think the psu is past repairing. Installed the old original :3110a and now when switched on it blows the house fuses.
All the psu fuses are fine but the bridge rectifier need to be removed and checked and the primary mosfets sre reading short.
We have bought components before from china and as someone did mention earlier the quality is hit and miss. The ucc25600 delivery date from our local reputable supplier is late 08/21. A replacement board would be cheaper. But thanks for everybody's...Last edited by thuss; 06-02-2021, 06:56 PM.

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Sorry was mentioned in post 21. My mate contacted
A main components supplier and they said it should be fine. Once again sorry for waating your time....

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
[QUOTE=R_J;1049490]That's not really how it works, the mosfets gates are driven by high frequency (around 100khz). first QM901cs gets turned on and supplies the voltage to the transformer, then it gets turned Off and QM902CS turns On connecting the transformer to ground. This switching of the primary induces a current in the secondary, providing the Vdrv voltage.
If you can provide the voltages on the pins of the sem3110 it might help, be very careful not to short the pins of the ic.[/QUOTE
Unfortunately...Last edited by thuss; 06-01-2021, 06:34 PM.

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Yes theyre fine . There's no voltage on qm902cs - it seems fine. I think looking at the board you kindly attached that it provides power to the transformer...Last edited by thuss; 05-31-2021, 07:29 PM.

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Theres 16v on the yellow line at various jumpers. The transformers seem all fine. No voltages on tm901cs. On qm902cs centre pin no voltage whilst on qm901s centre pin 385v- will check and replace the mosfet again and check the surrounding components again. The cap is one of those blue square ones....

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Your right he used a different meter and there is 15.6v on j849 and as you stated 395vdc on the fuse.
There is no vdrv on connection cn803 the 5v and 13v are there on pins 1,3 but thats it. ThanksLast edited by thuss; 05-31-2021, 05:50 PM.

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Will do but he's adamant that he was using the -ve leg of the cap CP803S but will get it checked again will get him to use the bridge rectifier -ve legLast edited by thuss; 05-31-2021, 04:26 PM.

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Yes that is the fuse. fuse is reading 50v ac and the jumper 43v ac and -23.5 fluctuating in dc .very strangeLast edited by thuss; 05-31-2021, 10:24 AM.

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
j860 0volts also the the vdrv pin hole 0 volts also all my b13 voltages are present
Vcc across cm801 was 15.6vdcLast edited by thuss; 05-30-2021, 07:33 PM.
