Guys, have a sony kdl-60ex720 that blinks three times. i know the manual says main board but the supply is not putting out 12v to the tcon board or the main board when you push the power button. the high voltage does go from 165 to 300 and nothing seems to be loading down the 12v line. im pretty sure the power supply is bad, does anyone have experience with the aps-299/c power supply? tia

do you mean when you measured V. on plug CN6001 only you have PIN 1 no voltage? -

im not in front of it now but are you talking about the power on pin having 3,3v? it does and all the other voltages are there except the 12V.Comment

i know 3 blinks says its the batv board but why doesn't the 12v come up when the power on input is high on the power supply? i don't want to replace the batv board to find out its the power supply.Comment

you still can tested the power board when all sockets disconnected from it and jumper 1KR between standby and power on you will find the 12 volts or notComment

sorry i don't know, maybe other had recorded this measure. to me i interset on the big Cap if it go high or not..

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4500 which shows a colored vertical stripes pattern when turning on, with a central black shadow that slowly dissipates within the first 10 seconds.
