i know 3 blinks says its the batv board but why doesn't the 12v come up when the power on input is high on the power supply? i don't want to replace the batv board to find out its the power supply.Leave a comment:

My board has a 28 pin connector see attached schematic.

im not in front of it now but are you talking about the power on pin having 3,3v? it does and all the other voltages are there except the 12V.Leave a comment:

Guys, have a sony kdl-60ex720 that blinks three times. i know the manual says main board but the supply is not putting out 12v to the tcon board or the main board when you push the power button. the high voltage does go from 165 to 300 and nothing seems to be loading down the 12v line. im pretty sure the power supply is bad, does anyone have experience with the aps-299/c power supply? tia -

the standby is going into protection on the power supply, my guess is the main board is bad if you have everything unplugged from it. there are many available on ebay starting at around $60. find one that accepts returns.Leave a comment:

that would be correct. and acutally Ive seen 2 bad ir boards in these sets. 1 would not turn on and the other the remote didnt work, another had a bad main board.Leave a comment:

ive worked on one of these b4, it was the ir board pulling down the standby 3.3v. unplug the ir board and try to turn it on again.Leave a comment:
