The tv will work for a long time the when you try and turn off the tv, it won't power off. The only way to power it off is to remove the power cord. Then the power supply clicks a few times, and the tv finally shuts down. The power supply has a lot of transformers on it. I am thinking it is a bad solder joint somewhere. Any ideas? See power supply pic below.

Re: Samsung UN46ES7100F LED power issue
yes, even after being off for several minutes, if you turn on the tv, then try and turn the power off, it doesn't work. If the tv has been off for a while you can turn it on and the tv will turn off, thats why i think its a p/s issue otherwise I would be a main board problem.Comment

Re: Samsung UN46ES7100F LED power issue
So the tv seems ok when you turn the power on/off with the remote. If you remove the power cable from the tv,the standby LED stays on, the samsung logo is lit up, and the power supply relays click, as the red standby LED flashes. I have reflowed the solder on all the major components and also did a firmware upgrade, but it still acts weird.
Any thoughts??Comment

Re: Samsung UN46ES7100F LED power issue
once i faced this issue at Toshiba 3D smart TV when i was visit a friend at home, he asked me of issue not powering off when TV stay long time on , i did factory reset it helped for beginning but after play Chanel change with RC it make same issue, changed new RC Batteries then it worked perfect, i think it was the RC send weak signal at other freq. which block the processor . hope this will help you.Last edited by Diah; 08-17-2016, 12:46 AM.Comment

Re: Samsung UN46ES7100F LED power issue
As for me I agree with Reecey.
PSon and BLon come from the main board. So if those are held on, the PSU can't turn off. So verify the DC voltage on the PSon and BLUon pins when you can't turn the TV off. See what gives and report back.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by sam_sam_samI have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails
I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time... -
by cheeky2This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets... -
by JimBanvilleThe sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...-
