Panasonic TX-P42G20B swap in TX-P42S20B main board

I can confirm that mechanically and electrically, minus one HDMI and VGA port, the S20B main board will drive a G20B panel, even though they have different SC and SS boards. The TV works fine now thanks to a board from Alastair.

However, I'm unable to get Freesat or Freeview HD working. (Standard def Freeview is fine.) The S20B didn't ship with Freesat or Freeview HD, but the tuner boards are mostly compatible - I'm hoping that I'll be able hack the option list in the service menu such that I can get these to work.

If anyone has a TX-P42G20B, please could you confirm the option settings. This is accessible by pressing VOL- on the TV and "0" three times on the remote (while holding VOL-). The first page that appears gives the option list - a photo of this from a G20B would be helpful! (To exit, power the TV off then on again.)

                I have the a board from a 55vt30 in a 55gt30 but I'm guessing that's no big deal.

if Mb work as electrical, then setting would work too in some how depend on ability. its all as HEX dec. so need to read then and convert to what you are wishing if the option was hidden. also at Panasonic there are destination area which limited function from land to land, there are 3 Option Conditional +EU and to France only and to Russia only choice what you want and post ühoto of yours OPT service menu an i will convert then to you.

Update, managed to get Freeview HD working with a retune but still not Freesat. I've decided not to risk messing up the configuration and will just sell the set as it is, with non-working Freesat.

This is probably my last repaired for profit TV I will do. I reckon this is the 100th I have documented on Badcaps out of around 200 or so.

Also bumped VSUS from LOW to HIGH in the service menu due to set having slight cyan maldischarge on white parts of the picture. Rare fault, not seen that outside of a Kuro!

                        Thanks all

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

                          Good day,

I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.

I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....
