Samsung PN60E6000GF 60" Smart TV turns off, red flashing power light

I recently got this TV used but failed soon after I got it. It will stay on for a little bit (a few seconds to a few minutes) and shut off. The power light does 2 short flashes, for 5 cycles and then one pause and repeats.

I have repaired a couple of TV's before, and didn't think it would be too bad to diagnose. No caps were obviously blown so I got a capacitor tester and only found one of the them to be 10% off. Replaced it today and still the same issue.

I tried looking up the manual but that didn't give any tips on the error code, nor could I find any forums with a similar issue either. From looking at these forums, it looks like Samsung is prone to have bad pico-fuses on their T-Boards but I am not sure if that is where I should start?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Any photo's of the panels and panel layouts showing connectors and legends?

I do believe this to be plasma(correct?) so there is no T-con board.
Lot's of 60" and 64" plasma's from samsung suffer from bad solder joints on the power supply.Take a good look at all the components on the heatsinks. Sometimes it's really hard to see if they are cracked or not.

You are likely correct as I was looking for the T-board and couldn't really find one.

What kind of bad solder joints? I used to work with consoles and know most cold solder joints on ICs can't really be found with a naked eye and could need a reflow/rework done on them.

I took a look and most of the components mounted to the heatsinks on the power board are covered in a silicone glue, so I am not able to see the connections. The ones I can see, seem to be fine.

          Thanks

Did you take out the powersupply and look at the solder side?

I did look at it initially and nothing appeared out of place. I just rechecked it and took pictures and I don't personally see anything without much reason. As I have seen a lot worse soldering jobs done and work fine..

Look on the power supply firstly you will have VS/VA test points measure them to see what you get they should match up with your panel sticker voltages

That is the capacitor I had suspected beforehand. The only replacement I could find was >x2 the Voltage and does not fit around the caps that were near it originally. So I ran a small bit of wire and used heat wrap to cover the leads of the cap to prevent arching or etc.

I will skim that thread a bit more in a little, but did not see anything to deal with my error code/problem.

                                --VS--
                                Actual: 221.8
                                Rated: 219.0

Since I believe these are within reason, and no signs of blown caps, should I assume the power board is fine?

Edit: I should also mention that since I owned the TV (for the 2 weeks it worked), it would intermittently go black and then go back to the picture and say "HDMI2" or etc. I didn't think much of it before, as I figured it was either my HTPC or the HDMI cord bottling the throughput, but now I realize that could mean T-sys board too?

Edit 2: I was checking the VSC and it was about 10v off. Then the TV turned off like it has been doing. I then retested the VS/VA and it was something like 70v/10v, respectfully.. Not sure what to make of this personally.

Behind the black plastic part for the stand is another board, the logic board, can we get a close up picture from that? Wanna see if we can get it to run the test patterns.

And maybe swap out that wired cap for the good of Alastairs blood pressure

And maybe swap out that wired cap for the good of Alastairs blood pressure
Attached is the main board. And I will go ahead and order a replacement capacitor

                                          Hello Community!

                                          CASE DETAILS

Promblem Signs: Backlight on 1 sec off 7sec > repeat && Red standby light: 1blink, off 3 sec, 2 blinks, off 5 secs, 2 blinks, off 3 sec, restart cycle

13V present on powerboard output. Backlight continues flashing after removing cables to pannel one at a time and even with both disconnected. NOTE: backlight STOPs flashing and remains on when connector between powerboard and mainboard (note Tcon built in) is disconnected.

Tried inserting firmware on USB and left it in for a few hours, but no change

Have a Samsung UE43KU6400U that will not turn on, just continuous flashing red standby light.
                                          Power button does nothing

Have unplugged the mainboard, and backlights illuminate.
Have tried removing panel ribbon cables one at a time, and that makes no change.

With mainboard unplugged, all voltages from powerboard seem ok, but with mainboard connected, they never quite reach full voltage, and drop and raise in a constant loop (in time with click noise from mainboard.

Using backlight tester, I get 63.6v on both sides, so seems like no bulbs...

                                          by Phil289
                                          Hi
I aquired a Samsung UE46EH5000 from a lady that said it was turning on and off so she just purchased a new one.
On plugging into the mains and turning on i get a solid red light.
On using the on/off button or remote i just get a flashing red light in a pattern of flash/flash gap flash/flash gap flash/flash etc.
Opened it up and disconnected the main board from the power board by removing the connecting ribbon cable with the hope of getting either a 'no backlight' or a 'working backlight' but got neither,i just got a blinking backlight that turned on and off randomly...

Samsung plasma - flashing standby light
                                          by 7ony
The TV is a 2013 Samsung plasma, model # PN60F5300AFXZA.

Snagged it up in non-working condition a couple years ago. Previous owner said that sometimes he could get it to come on after repeated tries but other than that he couldn't get it to turn on.

Personally I haven't been able to get it to turn on at all. The standby light comes on solid when plugged in, but pressing the power button results in the standby light flashing once every 4 or so seconds. No "click" noises, no light from the panel at all. Just the flashing standby light.

                                          No visible...

                                          Hello everyone.

This is my development machine. I've been using it since two years and half without any problem except sometimes it wouldn't wake up from sleep.
Lately the issue became more frequent and powering it up would take few seconds to show the POST screen.
Then the computer refuses to power on at all. Now only the caps lock button flashes 7 times then stops. The charging light is always on whenever a power source is connected (battery or charger).
I tried long pressing on the power button, after several seconds it would go off then when the button is released...
