    lines on screen Manta LED4201

    Hi
Picked up the above tv today and initially the picture came on but appeared washed out, lacking greens.
Suspected the Tcon so reseated all connections and much jiggling later all the screen displays is a screen full of multicolour vertical lines. Sound is fine.
Im having probs uploading fotos from my tablet but does this sound like a tcon fault before I try to track down a replacement or a bad panel? Cheers

      Hi
Still unable to upload fotos from my tablet but think it is a faulty tcon.
Having no luck tracking down a replacement. Not even ebay has them, its an e8844194v.
Does anyone know where I could pick one up or even somewhere which can fix them.
      Much appreciated

Thanks for the suggestion though I still think I'll try a new tcon - if I can find one.
Scoured ebay and they seem to be rarer than hens teeth so can anyone suggest where else I can try? Also tried flattvparts, spares2repair etc.

Are you getting steady 12VDC at the T-CON fuse? and standby Voltage is steady and not low? I have seen this symptom before due to border line standby Voltage or the switched 5V.

Yes, I was when I 1st opened it up and the picture was displayed though washed out.
Didnt test it after id jiggled with the ribbon cable and the screen went to just vertical lines.

Still trying to find a tcon for the Manta TV. The con is a c6870 0328a v0.6.
There is 1 of these on ebay but does the replacement need to be not only the same part number but from the same TV or will any c6870 0328 v0.6 work in my set? Thanks

                            Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                            by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                            Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

As stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.

There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.

After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

                            Left...

                            by Chrissygizmo
                            Hello again everyone,

This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…

I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried...
