    Panasonic TX-P50UT30B 6 blink error

I'm struggling to fix Panasonic plasma TX-P50UT30B.
TV doesn;' turn on and LED blinks 6 times.
Faulty is SC board like usually it this case it's TNPA5351 AF
I have changed already Q622, Q623, Q600 and Q661 which all were shorted.
After that TV still doesn't turn on showing 6 blinks, no shorts fortunately after powering up.
Later I swapped from my other death boards PC685, PC581 and IC921 but it didn't change situation unfortunately. Both buffers I swapped from my TX-P50ST30B.
I have found no other shorts.

I will appreciate any help to solve this problem.

If those parts came from 'death-boards' as you say, can you be sure they are good?

only those ( PC685, PC581 and IC921) came from faulty SN board like TNPA5330 or TNPA5457 with faulty buffer chips which I have used as source of parts.

Neither have I, wish i had them when i struggled with the TNPA5335 which I'm still not 100% sure which bit I did fixed it.

Really interested to see how you go in diode checks on those 8 pin driver buffers.

I always think when bits stop blowing up you're close.

It seems to me if you get 621, 622, 623, 661 etc are bown it's a dificult repair.

Also I don't see any 6 blink repair kits for the 5351 or 5335 so it would be good to see what it is we're missing.

Re: Panasonic TX-P50UT30B 6 blink error

Just fixed this same model TV.
I thought I would post up what I found for other people.
TV had no blink code at all. Just a solid green light and no panel discharge.
The 30F131 transistrors on the SC board were shorted only.
Replaced them, now I get a 6 B blink error code.
Replaced both DG302 transistors and a hole heap of the small 5 and 8 pin ICs and transistors. Everything that came up in a search, still no go.
Turned out to be the green LED D583.

:-).... that's rather interesting. Did the LED actually light and then go out or didn't even light?

Re: Panasonic TX-P50UT30B 6 blink error

I never noticed it lighting during the multiple tests.
I only found it because I was testing the whole SOS6 circuit in diode test mode.
Looking back Tom did mention in one of the posts to see if it was lighting briefly, but I was focused on all the common faults that I didn't even think to check.

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
                      by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

                      Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...

                      Panasonic TH-42PZ800 8-blink error mystery
                      by nervx
Years ago my tv gave a 7 blink code which turned into 8 during diagnosis. I had ordered a replacement ss board but somehow the tv started working again and i never used the board. Now a week ago my tv flickered and shut off at random and gave the 8 blink error code. The same issue it had all those years ago. The only difference this time is that over the last few months there has been some purple and green tinge that comes and goes in more solid colors such as white.

Anyway i checked all the screws and replaced the ss board with a known good one and still got 8 blinks. I saw a...

                      by SentraDude
Greetings from SoCal I am new to this forum but not new to forum world. I come from Automotive end of side which is my main passion in life. Give the automotive nature, I love fixing and restoring things and I have in the past fixed many simple electronics, soldering, etc.. but this is a bit more involved so I found this forum, and I am very glad I did.

I picked up a Panasonic TC-P60VT60 with the 7 BLINK error.
Upon removing the back plate I found spider webs, dead spiders, and an amazing amount of dust. I did my best to clean the surface of the boards with a portable vacuum...

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code
                      by rmacintosh
I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
                      • Plug AC in to back of TV
                      • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
                      • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
                      • If the TV is unplugged and then
                      ...
