    Samsung UE55ES6805 lines

    Hello,
    Please see the attached pictures.
Is this a panel problem or perhaps t-con ?

    Anyone out there?
Maybe the pics is hard to judge, but let me explain in words.

Many of the upper lines are "doubled" and exists in at least two lines.

Mind this is a panel failure, or what about the ribbons t-con / panel ?

if the lines were across the screen, then it might be something other than the panel. You can try cleaning connectors / reseating between tcon and panel and tcon and main board.

Here's two more pictures of the failure

Ribbons re-seated and cleaned, not the slightest difference.

What do you say , is this a lost mission ? Bad panel ?

It appears it cannot erase lines that were previously on.

If you disconnected one of the TCON cables to panel does that half of the picture clear up?

            Re: Samsung UE55ES6805 lines

It does not look like panel problem, to me it is either the main board or T-CON hard to 100% sure.
Strange to see dash lines symptom like that.

              Panel problem IMHO.

From the photo's posted it does not look like the menu is affected by the lines.

Some of the pictures I collected from B.C. and what OP did to fix the problems, first two are due to bad T-CON, the third is main board.
I do not know if it is same as in this thread or not but it looks pretty close to the problem here.

                      Update:

When disconnecting one of the ribbons between t-con and panel , half the screen is all good. When testing other ribbon , picture is at fault.
This is then a panel failure I suppose ?

Thanks for the info, I will add these pictures to my collection of what the cause of the failures are, in this case it is the panel.

                          by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                          by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Samsung UN65TU8000 - Panel Issue [ hole in ribbon cable ]
                          by NWArkGuy
Well, I will be the first to admit that I screwed up...

In attempting to replace the backlight in a UN65TU8000, I made a hole through one of the ribbon cables between the board that runs along the bottom of the back of the TV and the panel. This lead to a between a 1/4 to 1/2 inch vertical stripe running the full height of the image.

I don't have the experience; personally, to solder a bridging wire for the paths that were cut. So, I have been on the hunt for other Samsung TV's of similar size.

I have 2 that I have found and have in my possession. ...

                          by KYBOSH
I came across a 50inch TU8000 that wouldnt start up properly (blinking stand-by light, backlights would cycle on and off).

When i opened it up and removed the power to the mainboard the backlights powered up and everything looked uniform.
When reconnected the mainboard but disconnected the flex cable to the panel i heard the TV startup with the intro sound.

Later I checked for shorts on the panel PCB boards but could not find anything.
When I took a look with the FLIR i noticed the 2 resistors...
