Lg 42ln5400 no picture or sound

Just st picked up 3 of these for free. 1 comes on with something on the screen, the other 2 just let get up.
None respond to remote other than on and off.
No on screen display or anything.
I'm thinking the other two may have burnt LEDs as they don't seem very bright. Tired of messing with LEDs. Lol. Too easy to break the screen.
I've had 3 LED Tvs with bad LEDs. A Samsung that would shut down right away and 2 sharps that wouldn't come one unless the error code was over ridden.

These come on and stay on, so I am hoping it's not the back lights.
I've searched the forum but not much info on this model.

if it was the backlights the screen wouldnt be on
check lvds cables are seated correctly
does menu come up on the lg

No, no menu nor OSD on any of them.

These are rubbish Tv's from Lg pure junk. The one with lines is probably failed Panel. Have you checked Tcon fuse ? Are you getting any Lvds output from the Tcon ? What happens if you disconnect one side of the panel, do you get one half of the image ? You should know where to start by now lol

Yes, I hadn't started on them yet. Just picked them up and carried them in. Plugged them in, took pics and posted.
Spending "time" with the wife watching a movie. Will take them apart tomorrow.

Haha fair enough also, I struggle to get to sleep I either stay awake in the dark thinking about random shit or do what im doing now which is listing to faithless/music and on my ipad or sometimes computer in game with mates until I physically am exhausted and pass out lol. One time I stayed up till 4 fixing a Tv because I couldnt sleep.

Edit: I'm listening to insomnia as well haha seems ironic

Wow, sorry about the insomnia. Studies show that getting on your iPad/smart device or computer actually makes it harder to,sleep as it stimulates your neurons.

Haha its fine, yeah I agree too too much to distract your brain on these. You want to shut off then something else comes up for you to click on. Maybe I should smoke some weed like it says in the song sure that will put me out for the night

Ok, I disconnected one side of the t-con board and this is what I get. When I try the other side this tv looks like the picture of the other two. Nothing.
So o going to try this t-con in the other two, to see if it makes them look like the first pic.
If it does, would you guys think it's bad t-cons?

Finally the third and last set, with the original t-con disconnected from one side, then the next.

Will be gone for most of the day and wont be able to perform any other tests.

I know that supposedly this indicates bad panels right? But a while ago I had a Sony with similar problems and a new t-con fixed it.

keep checking lvds to screen are in right i jus did leds in one and the screen was all jumbled half purple and black etc so keep trying them
