Finlux tv keeps turning on and off

Hi i have a finlux 32"That keeps turning on and off by its self.From what i gather is that i need a firmware update?Heres the model number 32LCDHDS-SAT.Have no idea where to get firmware.Even if someone knows What Vestel cross reference this set is.Any help greatly accepted.Thanks

Sorry haven't stripped apart yet.Seen as hopefully it needs just firmware update,can take pics of board.Any pics in particular?

Hi hear are pics of board.Tv gives a chirp and turns on and off in an instant.If tv is in standby it will come on by its self.

Hi do i disconnect that block with power supply connected to get readings and do you not think this is a firmware issue?

You can test initially with everything connected and check as requested above to see what happens with the 5VStby and Stby ON/Off supplies.

how long before it turns off ?
if its the same time each time check auto powern off setting 1hr 4hr etc

When you plug in tv and its in standby mode.The TVs will give a chirp and come on by its self.Tv can stay on for hours and then starts chirping flicking on and off in an instant.when my son is playing Xbox the tv will Chirp go on and off in an instant and then he has to switch over AV to play Xbox again.Have the confidence to strip apart an do checks but very hard to do with kids with little fingers.haha.Finlux support seem to think this is a firmware issue,Gave them the model number on the back and they keep telling me it's not a Finlux they ever sold and won't send me firmware?

Also had a look at power supply board and there is no signs of scorching,Burn marks or any damage what so ever.Very annoying that when I turn off TV it just comes back on within 5 to 10 seconds.Every morning I come down the tv is on and has been on since night before.

Fingers crossed TV has been behaving.Has not turned on an off in 3 days.Plus when you try change to Hdmi and ext its not moving up and down by its self.So all good at the moment.

Try heating the Psu and mainboard see if it goes off faster. Common isssue is the polly caps failing on the primary side of the Psu causing issues.

Tv has not turned on and off by its self in over a week now.Had been doing it every day for the last 6 months.For some strange reason it is working perfect.Would never buy a Vestel tv again.Now i know how many tv they make.

Just another update.Tv still goin strong.Has not turned on and off by itself in nearly 3 months.The tv is working great.The only thing that i can think of is that i changed my broadband router the same time 3 months ago.Just wondering could the broadband router have been the problem?

Doubt it, might still be something waiting to go lol enjoy it while it works
