    Sharp LC-70C6500U T-Con?

Hello, I have a 70 inch sharp tv. Error code 25 flashing on bottom of tv. When I unplug the right side connector on the board, the error code goes away and the left side of the screen shows the picture perfectly. Is this a bad T-con board? Can I swap the two cables across to determine if its a panel or cable issue. Any help much appreciated. Thanks kindly.

unlikely. what happens when you do the opposite?
More likely a panel issue. Check out some of the threads on sharp and vizio 70 in problems. Basically, if you disconnect the right side "corner cable", this is the cable in the bottom corner of the panel which interconnects the bottom boards to the side boards, you will likely get a full picture with some issue (lost "scan lines" or shifted picture). This is an indication of a side driver problem. The only way to "save" the panel is to remove the bad driver and in fact all the drivers on that "bad" side. This "operation" is NOT reversible so proceed slowly and with caution. Read the threads carefully, do some of the "cable disconnect tests" and post pictures of the test progress. Go from there.

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
        by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Sharp LC-70LE650U vertical black and red bars

        Hi all,

70" LED TV is Sharp LC-70LE650U.

Initial problem was horizontal lines and slow motion lurrs on the bottom left of the screen. So I removed both the left and right ribbon cables from the T-con board and tried to clean it with alcohol and when I put it back, this issue appeared. I tried carefully reinserting the ribbon bon cables but same thing. I checked the traces of the ribbon cables with magnifying glass and everything looks good. I cleaned the small jumper ribbon cable on the left side of the screen which cured the horizontal line and slow motion blurs...

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
        by Rozp
        Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
        by Fly_Among_Stars
        Hi,
        I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
        Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...
