Re: SAMSUNG LN55C650 Power Supply ?
That's high voltage for the backlight inverter. I'm not certain, but I think it's too high for your meter to read. -
Re: SAMSUNG LN55C650 Power Supply ?
Do not try to measure that high Voltage unless you want to blow up the meter, it is about 2000VAC.

Power supply/inverter board BN44-00342B
Look really close AT THE White rectangular capacitor CI818 (2w474k) right next to the white fuse in the middle of the board to see if the sides of the cap any slight bulging, that is the common failure cap.

Re: SAMSUNG LN55C650 Power Supply ?
He is referring to the two large black caps laying on their sides, it should have close to 400VDC measured BETWEEN the two legs of the cap, the caps are in parallel so you can check it on either one of the two caps.Never stop learning

Re: SAMSUNG LN55C650 Power Supply ?
You have power supply/inverter board combo, the high Voltage wires (Blue/white) from the output of the power supply/inverter board is fed to the Balancer board which is to provide even drive to the CCFL.
The 7-pin connector for the Lamp error signal and the FB signal to maintain steady backlights.
Capacitor CI818 (2w474k) is swollen on both sides.. First time in years I have seen one of these go bad... I over looked it for sure.... Put a meter on it and no reading both directions.... You know a good part # or where I can buy this cap....

Or encapsulated type by VISHAY or KEMET
Original is SIC (encapsulated) from EBAY.Last edited by budm; 03-21-2016, 10:19 PM.Never stop learning

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by cheeky2This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets... -

by MtnManMikeHello,
I'm hoping to get some help figuring out how to troubleshoot this power supply board. The television is a Samsung UN75J6300AFXZA, version no. UH03. The power supply board has two model numbers on it, L75S1 and BN44-00723C. As far as experience level, I'm familiar with recapping boards in terms of safely going through the soldering motions, choosing suitable replacement parts, and so forth, but as far as understanding the various functions of each part of these TV power supply boards, I am a rank beginner.
When I plug the TV in, the screen flashes on and off and... - Loading...
