now i have changed the FP1 with same amperage i had in my scrap boards, and put back jimmys A board since with the A board that came with tv i could get sound now but no OSD, now with Jimmys board i have Video, sound and OSD, tv is running fine,but i have this stripe on the screen see pic attach.

Pardon me if it feels awkward, but to help comprehension I have replicated the comment that I found confusing from the other thread.

Hi guy; Update on KDL46S4100, i got the new T-con Board and installed same stripe on the screen,don't you think i'm screwed Panel is bad?now i have all good boards parts for this model and no screen panel?, what a bad luck,please say something,at least a word of comfort thanks for you help and patience, at least it's no all loss,i keep learning more and more everyday, with Badcaps forum,the best there is,i learn alot.thanks

Panel problem, you can try pressing on the tab bonding or try flexing the panel to see if the condition will change.

Thanks budm; i open it up to get to the those ribbon flexing cables, press them and nothing.there components on the drivers boards?

So you open up the LCD panel to get to the Tab bonding then? Unless those driver IC in that section of the screen is bad.

Thanks budm;when i take off the medal frame i get a diferent stripe line see first pic,on the panel flex boards i only see Resistors and caps,see pics.
all the flex tapes seem not to be bad like cut traces like i see on some Utube videos everything seems to fine at naked eye!

Budm do you know what other LCD tv might have this LCD panel?

i was thinking if i could get an used cheap 46 LCD tv that the panel fit in this Sony , i could make an offer,i think Samsung old lcd tvs use to have same Screen panels,
i have taken this #'s,i don't know if there are the panel #'s, can you advise on that.thanks

It seems to me that since the Vertical lines have changed, I would suspect bad bonding of that brown flexible PCB which is attached to the rigid green PCB, that is where you applied pressure on that section to see if the vertical lines changed from more line to less lines or lines are gone when pressure is applied.

Hi, yes i press those bonding tapes and no change,

that 52 " sumsung has exact same metal frame as mine, i wonder if a
LN46A530P1FXZA would fit in KDL 46S4100 ?

That panel model number does not look right,
it should be something like LTYxxxxxxxx or LTZxxxxxx.

thanksbudm; is this what you want, not very good pics, i'l try on day light,cause i have tv in the cellar has poor light. ?,camera is not very good.

I think the LCD panel number sticker is under the metal plate that the main board is attached to.

Hi guys; Update on Sony Stripes on the LCD screen,i don't think this will make any difference but i'd like you opinion.
As i said with the frame on the stripe is larger , when i take off frame it gets thinner, but i learned in order for the stripe to get thinner i have to take off the frame and reboot TV or turn off and on TV,if i take frame off with TV on there is no effect on the larger stripe,
i'd like to here your take on this.
Also i measure all the caps and resistors on the the Panel assembly board,and on most of the R or caps i measure 3.3v, 7v,15v, or so on one side and the other side i get on most SMT components about 0.350 or so,.
