I have come to a dead end on this and would like some help. Most of the repair I have done has been bad caps, so I don't know where to go with this one. When I check the voltages at the power board and at the main board they are all OK. I did the flashlight test and did not see an image. So I replaced the T-con board with a used one that I believe to be good and still no picture. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you get backlights ? Common issue with this chassis is the mobo not sending the Blon signal meaning backlights wont fire on.Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Anyone Doing So Will Be Banned Instantly !

Ok do you have a DMM ? No point just throwing boards at it, you need to diagnose this properly. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Anyone Doing So Will Be Banned Instantly !

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
Since I am not getting back lights I did some checking on the board. It seems as if the fuse located at C55 in the attached picture. On one side I get 24 volts, on the other side 0. So what would have caused this fuse to blow?Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
The test points at the end of the ribbon cable have no voltage. All of the white fuses on this board have 24v and are good. I did not find voltage at any black fuse.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

You need to check the BL-ON signal on the inverter board, you need to remove that black cover so you can see if the pins of those two big white connectors are labeled or not.Never stop learning

OK, you do have all the needed signal for the inverter board to function, so I need to see good clear picture of the inverter board.

BTW, that small black fuse with '20' printed on top shows < 1 Ohms of resistance?

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
Can you please point out to the fuse? What is printed on the fuse? I see C55 but I do not see any black fuse close by.

"It seems as if the fuse located at C55 in the attached picture"
The label is a giveaway, not a fuse rather a ceramic capacitor
You can see the label for the fuse on the inverter board pic but not the fuse are those fuses good?Last edited by Caleb; 02-10-2016, 10:06 AM.Liberating magic smoke one part at a timeComment

Ah I see what he is saying now, he thinks C55 is a fuse. I also wonder what he means by this also in post 7: I did not find voltage at any black fuse.).
There is only one black fuse with '20' printed on top.Last edited by budm; 02-10-2016, 10:09 AM.Never stop learning

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
You are correct, some things I thought were fuses were not. I have tested both of the large white fuses located near the capacitors and have 24v on both sides. Also I have 24v at the + leg of each capacitor. I am somewhat new at this and will try to do better. Please don't give up on me.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
The black fuse with "20" on the top. Has 24v on the side toward the connector and 1.2 on the other side. Wow, that is small. I have never replaced anything that small. Please give me some idea where I get a fuse like that and how is the best way to replace it. Also, it blew for a reason. Have you had good results just replacing one and not being to concerned why it's blown?Last edited by rod30; 02-10-2016, 02:30 PM.Comment

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
That black fuse is the common failure fuse used in CMO inverter board, I use PICOII through hole fuse in its place, done so many of them without having the TVs come back with the same blown fuse.Never stop learning

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
You can test (in ohms) from the side that gets no voltage to ground and reply back.
Sometimes fuses fatigue over time and there is no fault just an open connection. If the ohm reading is in kohms you probably just have a failed fuse, if its in tens or hundreds of ohms you have a fault that blew the fuse.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -
by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by ermalsHi all!
I've recently run into an issue with my Samsung UN55H8000AF LED TV displaying no image. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of what could be wrong with it. Below are the steps I've taken prior to reaching out here for some assistance:
1. I've tried replacing the T-Con board (BN95-01594A), twice and have still experienced the same issue with all the boards I've tested with.
2. I've tried to remove one side of the ribbon cable that goes from the T-Con board to the panel and still not getting any image on left or right side.
3. I've checked voltages... -
