Re: Vizio E421VA No picture
I have remove all the cables from the main board and the voltage is still at 2.7v. Something on the main board is pulling down the voltage. At this point I will try to find a replacement board. I appreciate your time and effort going thru this with me. Sometimes they show up on Ebay and shopjimmy does have them. Do you know of other places I get a used one?
Thank you again.

Re: Vizio E421VA No picture
The caps appear to be OK. In the past I have found a few that look good but were not. My next step was going to be to remove and test them. I have never attempted to replace an IC regulator.

Re: Vizio E421VA No picture
As you can see, I changed the other reply. I did get both 12 and 24 volts when I put 5v to the PS-ON.

Re: Vizio E421VA No picture
The PS-ON has no voltage. Only the two 5v show anything. OK, I think I did it incorrectly. 5v to PS-On now gives me 12v and 24v.Last edited by rod30; 03-20-2016, 10:49 AM.

Re: Vizio E421VA No picture
Well, that's interesting. When I ran 5v to PS-ON the 12v & 24v terminals showed 2v and 4v volts.

Vizio E421VA No picture
No standby light. When testing voltages I find that the power supply puts out a good 5v when the logic board is disconnected. When it's reconnected the voltage drops to 2.7v. Would somebody please send me in the right direction to determine what may causing the voltage drop. Thanks again for your help....

Asus VE206 no picture
This is a family members monitor that does have back lights and will flash on for a second with the logo. Then go black for a few seconds then flash on again for a second with the data from computer. I have not removed and tested the caps since every thing looks so good. Was wondering if you felt it may be something else? Any advice would be helpful before I start removing caps....

Visio E421VA No power
The power at the connector is not correct. One of the 12v is 2v and both of the 5v are only 3v. I have removed and tested the 10 large capacitors near the connector and all are within 10% of value. This is as far as I go before I replace the board. I know many of you continue on with other tests and part replacement. I would like to continue with testing if you could provide some direction. Thank you....

Vizio E421VA power supply problems
I have tested to output of the power supply and found voltages are not correct. One of the two 12v outputs is only 2v and both of the 5v outputs are 3.1v. The 10 large capacitors near the output connector have been removed and tested and all are within 10% of value. So, I would like to have some direction for continue troubleshooting. Thanks for your help....

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
OK, if you all agree that is the thing to do, I will order some fuses. I will get some F2313-ND fuses and give it a try. I do want to thank each of you that assisted me in this repair.
Again, will it cause any problems if I short across the existing fuse to bring on the lights?

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
On the 2m scale I get a reading of 1.802. Please give me some information, like what is the correct name of this fuse, size (20) ?, and where do I get one. Somebody said they use a different type of fuse?
Can I short across it and see if the lights come on?

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
The black fuse with "20" on the top. Has 24v on the side toward the connector and 1.2 on the other side. Wow, that is small. I have never replaced anything that small. Please give me some idea where I get a fuse like that and how is the best way to replace it. Also, it blew for a reason. Have you had good results just replacing one and not being to concerned why it's blown?Last edited by rod30; 02-10-2016, 02:30 PM.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
You are correct, some things I thought were fuses were not. I have tested both of the large white fuses located near the capacitors and have 24v on both sides. Also I have 24v at the + leg of each capacitor. I am somewhat new at this and will try to do better. Please don't give up on me....Last edited by rod30; 02-10-2016, 01:54 PM.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
The test points at the end of the ribbon cable have no voltage. All of the white fuses on this board have 24v and are good. I did not find voltage at any black fuse....Last edited by rod30; 02-09-2016, 06:55 PM.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 no picture
Since I am not getting back lights I did some checking on the board. It seems as if the fuse located at C55 in the attached picture. On one side I get 24 volts, on the other side 0. So what would have caused this fuse to blow?...
