    Le32a553 Button Board Failure Help ?

    Hello chaps, diagnosed a faulty button board in this tv. What could cause the button board to change channel, volume etc. Seen this before never been able to sort it. Any advise is appreciated thank you.

          I would check the resistance between the terminals of the switches to see if it shows leakage resistance.

            Sorry I forgot to put that, all buttons check fine its a stupid intermittent fault. I have seen switches like these go intermittent before this is going to be a pain lol. Thanks

              The bad one that I usually found will have leakage resistance.

                  To rule in or out buttons being at fault. unplug them and use remote to operate set ,if problem stops after being unplugged then replace button board

                    i have had this it was one of the switches the channel would change randomly
                    the inside of the button is a dome silver disc through use gets inverted slightly and after a while causes the problem swopped out switches all ok

                          check cables for chafing ?
                          signs of liquid ingress both sides of board ?

                          if you look at the switches edge on like left to right to see if any are slighty down the the others they do collapse and cause problems when warm

                            Im going to try heating them tomorrow, I have already cleaned them with switch cleaner. Will let you know how it goes

                              I fixed the Tv by replacing the button board for £5 as the buttons were 99p each so not worth it. New board in and all working
