47LG50 Red light flashes continuous

I got this tv from a friend to look at and was following a thread someone else had to similiar tv (blue ON light came on but dim), ended up needing a power board. Well I ordered new board and when I received new board I installed it and had picture and sound . Scrolled through the sources all good, I put the tv all together and plugged in for a final check and red light just flashes, no clicking noises Nothing. So I have it back apart and I have weird power readings my 24v readings to both inverters go from 21v to 23 to 24 then back to 21 then repeat again randomly like that even get same readings at test point on inverters. On plug from power board to main board I have 5.1v there steady on the 2-5v pins but on the bottom 16.5v pin I get 9v then 5 then 12 then 9 then 5 then 12 continuouslly like that . Could this be a bad power board , It was from a somewhat trusted seller. I even put old power board back in same symptom as before then reinstalled new board same readings. I had this tv for a little bit. a friends cottage tv and after you all helped me get my uncles going again (whew) I decided to go back to this one. Any help would be appreciated . Oh and the green led on Main board flashes every second on off on off

Unplug the inverter boards and check your 24V reading with those disconnected and the TV turned on. Inspect the capacitors on the inverter boards. They are prone to failure and can cause erratic readings on the 24V line like that.

Yep tried that still erratic readings , the tv did turn on with new PB but not now lol Thanks for the attempt tho man

**Update** I unplugged both inverter boards and fired this up and still get the 24v jumping around I even tested the 2 big caps at c621 and the voltage on those even spike then drop with everything unhooked, so my question would be is what little part on this board would cause this spiking in electricity? Any suggestion would be helpful. Thanks

did you fix this? i just found your post. i have same tv same issue. just replaced the power board too from ebay, yupp just when i hook it up, tv turns on great, but than shuts off with the red light blinking. was it your backlight inverter boards? thanks pal

I actually shelved this tv tried a new mainboard but these days it seems ther boards you try off fleabay are usually bad . But I am going to pick this tv up again soon Keep in touch .Thanks
