ok... thanks for the extra info. The bezel isn't "one piece" but I don't know how the joint at the corner is made. When I was doing my 70in save, I removed the whole bezel carefully... :-) If you want just do the side that seems to be the problem... you can compare the tabs (5) as to any that have an issue.

You make a good point, I'm going to remove the whole bezel so I can get a good look at the tabs. When I cut them, do I do so as shown in this video?

      https://youtu.be/YZEl2BFDTd0?t=58

Or rip them? I have seen both methods so I'm not sure if it matters either way. I am going to start on the bezel now.

Which screws on this should I remove? Should I remove the bottom row as well? Any direction you can provide is appreciated.

I am having a hell of a time removing the bezel, I don't see what is holding the dam thing together. I removed all the screws that I can see on the sides, and there is not much play at all. I really don't see what I am missing with this thing.

OKAY! So! I figured out that all I had to do was pull the bezel DOWNWARDS and I was able to get it to separate. I did also check both sides of the tabs. As you can see in the second picture, I was able to find one tab that is hot to the touch and also appears to be singed.

My question, should I just cut that one tab or remove the whole side? Not sure if there is a particular advantage of cutting one.

            Thanks!

Alright! SO, I found the issue, removed all tabs on that side and reassembled the bezel and everything. After everything is said and done I got it working!

woooo hoooo! I'm so shocked that it actually worked. Couldn't be happier, Thanks budwich and lessQQ for all your help!!!!!!!!!

I hope this thread can help someone else in the future!

Nice job, glad you took the time to get it right, some have got in a hurry and removed the wrong side or all of them and that don't work and can't be redone, well done.

time zones are tough... worse during hockey playoffs :-)

glad you got thru it and now have a functional set. It should last for a while. the set that I worked on, is into its 4 year I think.

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
                    by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
                    by Rozp
                    Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

Sharp LC70LE747 Flickering - darkening gradually to the right side
                    by SmartSarah
                    Dear,

I can not pinpoint the following problem on my Sharp TV LC70LE747E.
While the left side of the screen is not affected at all the right side of the screen gradually fades to a kind of dark. I can best describe this darkness like a totally worn out CRT display or a gamma correction totally out of range. This darkness flickers like a flame, a dark one tough.
Sometimes when I restart the TV it disappears for a while.
The problem worsened over time the last few months.

I've replaced the t-con module without success. The problem remains.

                    Hi community,

I will describe my problem with a TV in those short following terms to be the most precise :

                    What i have :
                    Sharp Aquos LC-60LE635E
                    power board DPS-162KP-1
                    main logic board QPWBXF733WJN2

                    symptoms :
white led light logo at startup,
after 2 minutes, blinking 3 times a row, repeating
no backlight (and apparently no picture, checked panel with flashlight)
                    no startup sound

                    powerboard investigations :

                    1-2 PNL : 0v
                    3-4 GND
                    5-6-7-8 UR : 13.15v
                    9-10-11-12...

Magnum IA.100 Amplifier Switches on, No Output, Possible Input Side fault?
                    by flibidy
I have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.

The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.

Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

                    What Ive done........
