    Apex LD4088 Wont Turn on & No Standby Light

    Ok Guys,
    I am at it again. Found another set, an Apex LD4088 that does not turn on and doesn't have a standby light when plugged in? I havent opened it up and poked at the capacitors yet, but power supplys are really cheap for these things. Should I test anything before taking a twenty something dollar shot on a Power supply?

    Check the 5V standby output, PSON, etc.

      Unplug the inverter Pcb its can cause the Psu to go into overload if its shorted.

        OKay, I got it on the bench today and tested a few things. I dont see any visible bad caps. Noticed it does have an on/off rocker switch on the back, but that did not change anything. It still does nothing in any state. I unplugged the inverter and tried it in all states, didnt get any change. I unplugged the connector and tested the pinouts, I get nothing on STB and nothing on any of them for that matter except I get a 5v out of 5VSB (see pic ) I dont really know what that one is unless it stands for SOund Board 5V. ANyway let me know what you think.

          Can we get good clear pictures of the whole boards, the whole back side of the TV so we can see how all the boards are connected together?

                Put a new PSB in this guy and it fired right up. It looks great and works like now, PSB was cheap. I'm Happy!! Thanks for all the Help.
