Technika LCD22-228G 21.6" Flatscreen TV - Resetting after a few seconds

    Hello everyone

I hope you guys can help me with my current repair of this Technika (yes, I know!) flatscreen 21.6" TV with in-built DVD. Crappy Tesco purchase.

    (Please see attached photo).

    Symptoms

The unit resets itself after a random amount of seconds back to standby mode and then attempts to fire back up again. There is no pattern to it - Generally it never stays on for more than 15 seconds.
The backlight is fine and 'No signal' is often displayed on the screen for a short time.

    Checked so far

The board in the centre is the Power supply (which outputs a single 12V rail). This unit is working fine. I changed the two 1000uF capacitors anyway, but this board is not the issue as I confirmed that the unit still resets itself when using a totally different 12V power unit.
The problem appears to be the main board on the left.
All capacitors seem fine, although I did change several 470uF caps which were across the 12V rail anyway to see if it helped (no change).

Right now, I am stuck. There are more capacitors on this board that I could change (most 470uF) but they look fine. I've heard bandied about that it may be an issue with a regulator but I'm not certain. I don't have access to a scope, just a Digital meter. For reference, the caps on the board are marked as make SGF (not heard of that one).

Any assistance you guys can provide would be gratefully appreciated.

    Thank you
    Chris

        i'v got one of those.
has anybody got a spare stand?

btw, check the 5v on the mainboard - make sure it's not dropping out.
and dont confuse it with a seperate 5v supply for the dvd drive.

Stj - Yes, I see there are two separate 5V regulators on that board.
            I can check them tomorrow.

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
              by zklgfs
              Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...

Lenovo Legion 5 high fan spin turns off after 34 seconds
              by twonk9098
              Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.

I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.

I have tried a few new bios but exactly...

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
              by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

Garage door RX unit (Cardin S38C) does not short relay to send opening signal
              by CoinCoin88
              Hello everyone,

I'm turning to the Badcaps community to help me troubleshoot the radio Rx card from my (old) garage door opener. While I could just ditch that card and replace the whole system, I first would like to understand "why" it suddenly stopped working, because that's just how I am wired...!

Some basics: the receiver works on a 30.875 Mhz frequency. Yes, I'm aware this is not in use anymore in a looot of places. It does not use any rolling code, it's just a regular dip-switch code that you have to set up on both the receiver and transmitter. The receiver...

Unit runs but no speaker output kenwood KR-6030
              by DrDos
I have finished my work. The new lights come on except the one for stereo, I reversed the bulbs to no affect, anyway, the unit powers on, relay clicks. I have no DC voltage in speaker outputs, I also do not have any AC in the speaker outputs. There is some faint crackling in the speaker. This unit cranks up loud so I had the volume on very low. Everything seems to be fine but I can't really check the switch until I can get sound out of the outputs. I was going to do caps for the power supplys and the tone board but thought if it was cranking loud at one time maybe just leave it alone until it...
