Well... after going cross eyed on the board tracing from the pictures, I did find a SM for the PL10.7 chassis. So that BLon signal comes from IC3101. So I Guess you are SOL. You can still verify voltage and do the heating and cooling thing there, bake the main board a bit etc.

Well that was fun, and we narrowed down the issue. I'll put this one in the closet and keep an eye out for another identical set with bad or cracked panel or a main board on ebay if one ever shows up.

Did you check on mainboard that C3067 is not shorted and R3022 or R3323 is not open?

If those parts are bad they could affect the signal coming from IC3101

I found this main board on ebay. Wondering if this will work for the 46pfl5505d/f7??

It may work o.k. Yours and that main board on e-bay use the same t-con board. However that one on eBay has more things. Notice the network jack? So you may have to make some holes on the back cover.

Cool, I'll go ahead and get that as soon as I can. Making holes in the plastic isn't a problem.

Looks like it should work, the both show the same panel number.

                      Well the 46pfl5505d/f7 lives again!

I ordered the main board I mentioned in post #85 TV is running once again.

Also since this main board was from a 46PFL5705D/F7 the TV now has Netfilx capability!

Thanks everyone who helped out in troubleshooting this TV, it was a good long learning experience!

Another TV can now find a new home rather than the dump.

Just chiming in to say it looks like D951 is a common point of failure for these TVs. Another one saved thanks to you guys and this thread.

I know this post is old but, I had the same problem with my Philips 46PFL5505D/F7 and this post helped me solve the problem. Another D951 failed, I replaced D950 and D951 with a TO-220 10amp 80v diode with a heat sink. Since there is no place to mount the heat sink (and it is too tall) I laid it on it's side and glued it to the board.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your help, BadCaps is awesome!!

                              by aidanmo
                              Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
                              • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
                              • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
                              • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar
                              ...

                              Hello Team,

New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.

I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.

I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.
VHG VGL CKV... are the sames on...

                              by spantor
                              Hello partners.

Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell...
