    Vizio SV472XVT HDMI Problems

I've had this TV for awhile in the bedroom hooked up to cable box with HDMI 1. Over the last year I've noticed (progressively getting worse), it loses connection with HDMI (No Signal message), mostly when first turned on from cold, but lately anytime. It will start by flashing a black screen and then go completely black after a minute or so. Unplugging HDMI cable and back in will normally make it work again.

I thought it was my cable box but after trying new HDMI cables, the 2 other cable boxes in the house, and the Playstation 3, I had same problem. All HDMI ports also do the same thing.

So I'm convinced it's the main board, which had been repaired before (but for bad EEPROM).

I have to open it back up for some pictures which is a hassle on this one.

Any ideas what would cause this?

    HDMI Switch IC?

what happens if you heat the main board up with a hair drier etc? Check the HDMI connectors over on the main board. If you follow them they should go into a big IC. Try to heat / cool that.

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

It does go into an IC, I am just asking if that could be the cause of it "not recognizing" or losing the connection.
