I think you'll need to post clear pictures of the tcon, power, and main board on this unit so people can help debug from there.

Have you already bought it for $40? If not, I wouldn't. That's too much for a broken set like this, and not even knowing the panel is free of cracks/defects. Maybe $20 or less I'd pay.

That silver thing is a crystal. It generates the clock signal.

Yea i saw that but that is just for adjustments.. I already got the fsm and did a bunch of testing and still believe it to be the main board. I ordered a new one will be here friday so i will update then.

ok so i got my board in and the tv turns on and has picture and sound so main board was the problem but i have another problem.. the lcd has like almost vertical banding like lines and a thin green line that is horizontal and flickers and then sometimes the screen jumps so u have a jumpy image. i disconnect the tcon ribbon cables and the lines are gone so im thinking mayb i need a tcon now? Also when looking at the tv and you power it on the left side back lighs have about a 1 second delay from the rest of the tv.. pics are shown to explain better

I have an LG which I fixed in December which had the address boards fried by the previous owner's kid squirting a bottle on the screen. The address boards were on the bottom. Great idea for keeping the tabs from getting too hot, but when people clean the screen, guess where any liquid is going.

i cant see that being the problem with this tv since it has no bezel its a hick sheet of gorilla glass for the front even if u squirt it no way for it to get into the screen

you can see the uniformity issue in the pic with up arrow and green flickering line in pic with down arrow

ok so i guess since no one will/can help with this tv i will just throw boards at it and post the outcome.. mayb it can help someone else in the future

im gonna order a tcon to see if it fixes the horizontal fikering line

anyone have an idea what would cause the left side only back lights to have a delay? 1 second behind the rest i really cant find much parts for this tv i found a left side led slave board but dont know if that would be the issue

ok well t-con came in today replaced it and the flickering Horizontal green lines are gone and so is the distorted images. still have the issue of left side backlight coming on 1 sec later than the rest and still have the vertical lines in the black screens.. could led driver boards be causing this? or maybe power supply board?
