Hello all, this is my first thread and honestly I'm stumped on this TV repair. I picked it up for cheap because the owner said there was no picture (looks like the set has never been opened previously) so I dug in and to my surprise the TCON board had a blown IC chip in it. So I though "ah there's the problem" so I ordered a replacement and plugged it in annnd I still have no picture. The back lights stay on and I can hear the menu. So I did some more research and found that my EEPROM chip may need reset due to the blown IC but I cannot find the EEPROM despite searching Google for two days. My main board model is BN94-O5750Q. I really do appreciate any and all help. Thank you

Which IC on the T-CON board that is blown?
How about the pictures of the boards and the whole back side of the TV?
I have never heard of EEPROM of the main board has to be reset due to blown IC on the T-CON board.Never stop learning

"The EEPROM is on the TCON board? Here's some pictures of the boards. Included two pictures of the bad TCON" I do not know since you said the EEPROM needs to be reset, I would assume the EEPROM on the main board. Where did you get that info from?Never stop learning

Re: Help with Samsung Un46eh5300. No picture. Backlight on
It was pulled from a unit that had a cracked screen. And it came in antistatic packaging so it should be okay.
The seller says the board has been tested and worksLast edited by Morocck119; 07-22-2015, 10:48 AM.Comment

They all say "the board has been tested and it works". Most of the time this is complete bull.
You'll need to check the t-con voltages.
Firstly the fuse, does it get 12v on either end of it?
If it does check AVDD test point and see if it gets roughy 15vComment

Re: Help with Samsung Un46eh5300. No picture. Backlight on
Okay fuse show continuity and when powered on its at 12.8 volts. Looking for the AVDD now
Edit: there seems to be a really faint clicking by the tcon board I can't pinpoint exactly where its coming from on the board in fear of the side of my fave meeting 12v lolLast edited by Morocck119; 07-22-2015, 11:04 AM.Comment

Ahhhh, found where the clicking is coming from.....doesn't look too good :/
Looks like this caused the IC on TCON to pop...maybe try and clean it off with rubbing alcohol and see what I can do.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Yea, well thank you both for helping me with this. I'll try the rubbing alcohol route as a last resort but it is looking grim. I'll post if anything changes or if I have another TV I'm attempting to fix and I'm stuck. (Next one is a RPTV convergence issue in a week or so)Comment

by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by cheeky2This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets... - Loading...
