    Lg 60Pk950 Power Board Issue

    First time poster on badcaps.net
I got a problem, I bought a tv off gumtree ( A Australian ebay kinda site)
For cheap cost me 150 but the buyer said there was a power problem with it.
I said OK so I bought it
As the title says is a LG 60PK950 and the power board is a LG EAY60968901
Now when i first bought it and plugged it in at home it worked fine for about 20min then stopped working, and would not turn back on

So the red standby light is there but it wont turn on and it wont make a clicking sound either, So i think that it is a capacitor issue.
The board has 10 to 15 caps on it and I could replace them all but i was wondering has anyone fixed this board before and could save me some time.

    Thank you Louis

Re: Lg 60Pk950 Power Board Issue

Sounds like it may be a main board issue - it's common on these models.

Can you get photos of the boards inside the set?

I'm going to need two more pictures. One of that small green board to the left of the main AV board (the main AV is the one with the HDMI inputs on it) and one of the legend for the pins next to the connector on the power board which goes to the main AV board.

          Hi Tom66 and all,
I would like to continue this thread.I have a 60PK750 with the same symptom.
At plug in, almost immediate relay click, then back to red light.

I have unplugged various cables = no change. I have 5v standby.

          What do you think ?

Check for Cold Solder on back of Power Supply, very common issue on this series with the fault described.

I had a similar issue on a 60pk750. it ended up being the main board. I did the put it in the oven method and it's now working lol

Check these areas as pictured for cold solder.

Re: Lg 60Pk950 Power Board Issue

I just fixed one of these. It would click on and then off. Tried the test patterns, same thing.
Unplugged the y main, same thing. Unplugged the x main, same thing. Pulled the power supply and checked the 3 5watt 10 ohm resistors, and sure as shit, the last one was bad.
I found one on a bad Panasonic board I had laying around, put it in the LG and it's working just fine again.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      by Soulzink
                      Hi everyone,

I am trying to fix a samsung washinmachine power supply main board.
I already replaced it with another one to fix the machine but i want to try understand the issue with the old board.
Therefore i hope to be able to get some help to explain what to check in order to troubleshoot.
The power supply board reference is the following: DC41-00189a
I have followed one thread (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ingmachine-rel...

                      TCL 55RP620K power board issue

Originally the tv arrived with dimmed backlights (not failed leds) but everything else worked ok. Adjusting backlight in menu did nothing but voltage changed on dimming control pins,
                      0% p_dim at 1.65v and a_dim at 1v
                      50% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 1.65v
                      100% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 2.88v

Changed backlight leds anyway as always like to have complete peace of mind they wont fail shortly after selling the tv. No change as expected!

Leds are 2 rows of 15 6v leds.

On inspection of the power board found diode MBR3200 shorted so replaced with...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                      by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                      After all of...

Nikon D5 – dead, power board issue ?
                      by corrize
Hello, the DSLR has heavyly fallen. It is dead : no sign of life and display nothing.

When it worked, it always displayed a card present state on LCD display, even when the battery is empty it display a empty battery symbol.
I found a dead fuse, I replaced it and a mosfet burnt, I changed it and another fuse burned. Nothing burned after. And I can't find any short circuit anywhere, it's weird.

Now, I try to understand how it works.

There is two boards (the little one on pictures has no component) : the first is a « power board » : managing...
