with everything connected i get no voltage on bl_on unless i disconnect the led connector from the the power board

and then i get the 3.5v on bl_on

ive tried to test the leds using multi meter cant get them to light up like i could with samsung leds

all have a resistance reading of about 7.55

Right so all power is present with LED's disconnected, All signals from main are good.

Can only be a dead LED.

No BL_ON comes from the mainboard to the PSU. Same as PS_ON.

            Get us some pics

"also on the led connector on the power board its states 117volts for each of the plus pins i can only read them at 86 volts" You should monitor the pins to see if it did jump up to more than 100V and then drops down to 86V.

"if i unplug the led connector from the power board i get the 3.5v on bl_on" I s that the reading on the power supply board pin or on the main board pin? it looks it may have built-in pull up resistor on the power supply board for the BL-ON pin.

That does not look like a Sharp PSU, so I am guessing this TV is an OEM unit that Sharp have had made for themselves.

"all have a resistance reading of about 7.55" Is that the reading in OHMS, K Ohms, or M OHMS?

Stayed blue no response, sometimes went into standby using power button
changed motherboard and then it worked..
also had no response from the motherboard.

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

Acer K272HUL blue power light but black screen, power supply is ok
                              by burntonnerings
Have had two Acer K272HUL monitors die with the same symptoms:

                              - Blue power light is illuminated while the monitor is plugged in
                              - Black screen (no splash screen, etc.)
                              - Power button doesn't do anything

Opened it up and checked for bad caps and components, evidence of burns, etc. - everything looks fine.

                              Power supply voltages are fine.

There are some signal lines on the power supply harness that goes from the power supply to the logic board, not sure what these should be at.

                              Anyone have any ideas?...

                              Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                              Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                              ...
