    Panasonic TX-P50G20B - loud hum in speakers

    Hi guys

    My Panny TX-P50G20B just tonight started making a loud hum in the
    speaker. The hum is increased when there is more white in the image,
    and decreased as the screen go darker.

    Any thoughts on this? GND issue?

      Sounds like some solder broke.

          Mute the sound, does the humm continue? These models and others are known for a "buzz" issue which occurs over time due to a design flaw, buzz varying with brightness. If you start hearing it, disconnect the power immediately. You need to fix a problem on the SC board (loose screws) before it fails and causes considerable damage.

                      Im still testing the same tv , with no input connected the plasma screen itself makes noise. When i connect it to HDMI the sound almost disappears but is present.
                      I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

                          Hehe nice one with the avatar. And I can see the little transformer in the bottom. So,
                          I remove the back panel and check all the screws. They're really tight and nice. I connect
                          the HDMI and power, and the hum is gone...except for the slight hzz from the PSU.
                          No problem now. Wonderful with come-and-go problems

                              If you remove the HDMI input and let it run without any inputs you will get a buzz. The buzz comes from the panel itself like Tom said. Dont think its possible to make it disappear completely.
                              I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

                                  More Lo-Fi speakers and another DIY surround repair. The patient this time: a pair of Philips F9217L-50R speakers from a budget Philips rack/component system from the '80's. The system belongs to my brother in-law… or actually his parents. However, they didn't want it when they moved houses and he liked it anyways, so he ended up keeping it. It's a pretty cool-looking vintage system with a wood/veneer cabinet and shelves for records and cassettes. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it or get the model #'s (but maybe next time I visit, if anyone is curious?)

                                  I figure this is the best place to ask this...

                                  Have a Philips BDL4221 monitor, thrown out at work, but it doesn't have the speakers. On the back of the monitor, there are hi-fi speaker connectors, the black and red springy connectors for left and right.

                                  I have a couple of speakers from a mini-hifi that I connected up, and while the sound is awesome, it's way too loud, at 0 and 1 there is no sound at all, go to 2 and it's very loud, and it does increase up after that. If I was using it for anything else, I might be able to lower the volume on any other box going into...

                                  I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
                                  The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
                                  In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
                                  Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

                                  Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
                                  Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

                                  Connect pc speakers to tv without 3.5 jack

                                  Currently trying to connect pc speakers to 2015 vizio tv, tv has no 3.5 headphone jack. Does have rca audio out, tried connecting thru a Y rca to 3.5 cable but getting odd results(probably just need a dac for decent audio, not sure?) not too educated on audio. With that hookup I'm getting 2 problems, can't get the speakers to increase in volume so it's very low even when turned up and when using both tv and pc speakers the pc speakers only put out the music part of the broadcast and not the vocals/talk of the program. Have you run into this before or know what it might be, Thanks.
