Connect pc speakers to tv without 3.5 jack

Currently trying to connect pc speakers to 2015 vizio tv, tv has no 3.5 headphone jack. Does have rca audio out, tried connecting thru a Y rca to 3.5 cable but getting odd results(probably just need a dac for decent audio, not sure?) not too educated on audio. With that hookup I'm getting 2 problems, can't get the speakers to increase in volume so it's very low even when turned up and when using both tv and pc speakers the pc speakers only put out the music part of the broadcast and not the vocals/talk of the program. Have you run into this before or know what it might be, Thanks.

Tried with tv speakers set to on and off also with speakers set to both fixed and variable, same results.

rca/scart outputs are not amplified - you need to add a small amplifier.
