Re: HP Elitebook 2540p, missing parts. Need advice.
Yes, I did connect power and got to the 'something is wrong' text.
Also, it is stated as working - from my wifes company. They removed the HDD
in order to protect data.

Re: HP Elitebook 2540p, missing parts. Need advice.
Yes, it's SATA.
On this link:
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02206692
I read this:
NOTE: * Requires 1.8 in 250GB 5400 rpm hard drive in 1.8 in hard drive bay.
Of course it doesn't need those exact specs, right? I want to go for 60-80gig
Thanks,

HP Elitebook 2540p, missing parts. Need advice.
Hi all
I just got an HP Elitebook 2540p. I was told that the 1.8" HDD would
be missing, so I thought that it would be a pretty good and sturdy
laptop for the price of the HDD.
When I open up the computer, it looks like the ram is missing too?
(please see attached image). Or is there maybe some kind of SMD
ram in another place, and the port on the image is only for extra ram?
(probably not)
I'm not very into laptops, so any advice would be welcome!
Thanks!

Re: BenQ W1000 DLP projector, not turning on
Hi again!
Here are some pics of the mainboard(top).
I checked all the fans with a 12V external power source, they all run! I guess we can rule out that....

...So if one fan fails(the fan itself) all of them stops??
EDIT: Oh, so one fan dies, and then the PJ won't boot up....Last edited by Nicholas; 04-16-2015, 11:03 AM.

Re: BenQ W1000 DLP projector, not turning on
Hi.
There are four fans, should be weird if all of them failed. There is 12V present
on the main board and 3.3V on the ICs. I just checked the thermal fuse, and it
is OK.
It is very difficult finding any repair tips online for this problem, even though
countless people has had it.
Any advice what to do now?
Thanks!

BenQ W1000 DLP projector, not turning on
Hi guys.
I have a BenQ W1000 DLP projector that has standby light, but upon
turning it on, it will light up power, temp and lamp, all red. Nothing else
happens. Not a peep from any of the 4 fans.
So, I am thinking. Could this be a 12V problem? If I assume that the
fans are 12V. Maybe then the main board senses that the fans aren't
running an opts to keep itself shut off. The lamp has 600 hours on it.
Suggestions would be welcome
Thanks!

Re: Philips 47PFL5603D/10, loses picture after about 50 minutes
Hi again.
I ordered a new T-Con board, and that seem to have fixed the problem.
However, the new board wasn't 100% the same version number etc. as
the older one....so now I have a strange problemHard to describe, but
some lines has extra lines. Please see my attached pictures. There are vertical lines
between the letters for instance. The video image looks, well, like high res
scaled down to 150 lines or something like that.
Any idea if this is fixable without...

Re: Philips 47PFL5603D/10, loses picture after about 50 minutes
Hi, yes the sound is still present! Also, menus are gone as well,
so complete image loss.
I can see the T-Con board only has one cable running to it (attached picture)
from the main board. Could this still be PSU-related, or maybe main board?
Thanks,

Philips 47PFL5603D/10, loses picture after about 50 minutes
Hi guys.
I have this Philips 47pfl5603d/10 LCD TV that loses the image after about
50-60 minutes. Sound is still there only image goes away.
I just opened the set, all caps on the PSU *looks* okay. I just wanted
to hear if anybody else has come across the problem before?
Thanks,

Philips 46PFL8605H LCD shuts off after 5-10 secs
Hi guys!
Well, this Philips 46PFL8605H LCD TV shuts down 5-10 seconds
after it has been turned on.
What could be the fault? PSU or maybe main?
Thanks!
