    Toshiba 32w1333d - Flashing red/green standby light

I have a Toshiba 32w1333d that does not turn on . The standby light flashes red and green. I have tried turning the set on with the remote but that makes no differance.
The psu board is Vestal 17IPS11 300413-R4 , The psu seems to be ok, the caps looked ok but I changed them anyway and that didnt make any differance. I also tried disconnecting the T-Con board but the light still flashes.
I now can only assume the fault to be on the main board which is a vestel 17MB95S-1 v.1 211212 23114325. I have looked on all the groups but with the tv only being 18 months old there is no guides for this fault even though a few people have asked about the fault. I have looked everywhere for a replacement mainboard, I can find 17MB95S-1 v.1 211212 boards buy not with the same 23114325 and this last lot of numbers seem to change with different model numbers.

I would like to fix this set and not have it as a paper weight - Help !!!

    Software error.
Unfortunately, the software is tied to the type of panel you have.
    Which panel do you have?

The main av board is as listed above.
The screen panel model is VES315WNDL-01
      It also says LC320DXJ-SFE1

There are many versions of these boards that are made for specific versions of tvs, replacing them is a nightmare you need to get the model numbers so you need to try to repair the old main board. Do you know where the epprom is ?

Re: Toshiba 32w1333d - Flashing red/green standby light

Software is available on the Toshiba website, for the main flash. No software for mboot, but I suspect that's the same for all 17MB95 boards.

More Vestel trash failing I see (no Toshiba in these sets ... you think you're buying a reliable set but it's just re-badged supermarket rubbish.)

              ReeceyBurger123 - Yes I believe I have found the eeprom -u10
I dont have a toshiba account but I have a friend with a tv shop and I guess I could ask him to order a new eeprom for me as long as it comes programmed.
Is there any way to reset them like you can do on a samsung?

Thanks tom66 but that download is for putting on a usb pen drive and you need to be able to access the on screen menu to use it but the tv does not turn on

If you have mboot.bin for your set (should be common for all 17MB95) and edit the .txt file to remove "#" from beginning of "mboot" lines then it should work. You hold "OK" while powering the TV on and it will update without menus.

I have downloaded the file "upgrad_mb90.bin" and I have opened it in an editor but there is no # at the start.
Maybe I am just thick and doing it wrong lol

There should be a txt file like usb_auto_update.txt...

Hm, maybe it's not possible on 17MB95, sorry. It is possible on the MB62s...

I would be inclined to still try this- it may still read from the USB.
I have read the instructions and you dont need to be able to see anything on the screen - you just press buttons on the remote.

Not really worth it for any TV... who would spend £160 fixing a 32" basic smart LED-backlit TV? I often wonder whether CHS sells any of those boards... surely, they must, but who on earth to?

If not keep the tv around for a few months and see if a board comes up for cheap.
