Oh god, the voice control on the UE46ES8000 is terrible. It's a complete gimmick. Too slow and only understands a few phrases. Turn it off.

Re: This Time.. It's Personal.. Samsung UN60ES7500 Constant reboots

Found this little tidbit on another forum...

Well, I would like to officially report that after 2 years and 3 months my $2800 Samsung has ran it's course. It now does the infamous "Turn on and turn off". Really pisses me off that a TV with a SOLID 1 year warranty only lasts 2.5 years. Now I get to deal with a repairman which I'm sure will charge me as much as he possibly can. Samsung is garbage and I won't be buying it in the future. Really makes me wish I bought that $400 best buy warranty. This was the 55es7500 btw.

UPDATE: Apparently Samsung realized that the lead cable from the power supply to the mainboard were inadequate on the first batch of ES7500 (as well as 8000's) and made changes. Basically it fails and fry's one of the pins causing damage to the power supply board. The serviceman replaced the Power Supply Board and installed the newer version of the lead cable. The lead cable was all black and beefier than the white cable it replaced. TV works great now. If there is anybody in the Santa Barbara County area that needs assistance, try Ross TechnologySolutions out of Bakersfield. They ordered that parts and had it installed within 3 days of contact. BTW, my symptoms were exactly like the ones posted earlier in the thread with the pictures of the weird lines.

That seems to be in keeping with what has been posted about this set...

Soon as I get the wife off to work, this puppy is gonna get opened up..

Yea, the TV was stable long enough to turn this option off.. Didn't fix the problem, though..

I am Googling my brains out trying to find info on how to reset the TV to factory default...

Re: This Time.. It's Personal.. Samsung UN60ES7500 Constant reboots

At the shop, it was set up on a generic universal stand with one set of mounting screws..

When I brought it home, I had to use a different set of mounting screws for the wall mount. The screws were a tad short so I had to put significant pressure to get them to engage and hold the wall mount..

I took the TV down and removed the wall mounts.. Just for sheets and greens, I powered the unit up..

          Sum beach, it worked fine!!

I let it sit for 5-10 mins... Played with the settings and the Smart Hub.. Went back and forth... Everything was working great..

Let it sit for another 5-10 mins while I wrote up a big long "WOOT!!! IT'S FIXED" post...

I said, "OK, let's really put this puppy to the test"....

          Connected to the WiFi....

5 seconds later it froze up.. Rebooted.. Now doing the same old same old...

Some days it just does't pay to get outta bed...

Then i would suspect the main BGA processor of cold joints. Try reflowing it and see if it gets any better.

            A working TV? How boring!

                Ahhhhh My two favorite words..

                RE and FLOW

I "fixed" 4 TVs yesterday using my Reflow toys...

The ES8000 I have shuts down if you access the YouTube app on the Smart Hub - I guess the extra processing power required causes a slight voltage drop!

Well, I pulled the back cover and disconnected and reconnected all the cables.. Replaced the screws that were missing from the Power PCB...

Powered it up and it looks good. I tried to play ANGRY BIRDS, but couldn't figure out how to "push" the button to play the game..

Got OUT of Angry Birds and the TV is still on and good..

Going to try to connect to WiFi next...

Don't do a firmware update until you are CERTAIN it is stable or you WILL BRICK THE TV if it crashes during the update!

Quite possibly, Samsung produce unreliable TVs so I would be very hesistant to keep one of theirs.

Samsung QN75QN800AF doing constant reboots, and click sound from Connect One device.

So here is the thing. Someone from a rich neighborhood posted a sale on a broken Samsung. It was doing re-boot all the time.
A web search revealed a very quick fix, so I bought it TV for $100.

First move was to get a new used Samsung Connect Box but there was no change on error.
I opened up the device, and what I saw was way different on what was on YouTube videos, in terms of complexity.

Now, I can replace all 3 board onboard, and give it a go, but that may also be a waste of money. I can get all components for $150

Below is the video of what...

Samsung UN50KU6300F constant reboot, bad backlights?
                                            by x_orange90_x
This TV is in a constant reboot where the screen very dimly lights up for about 2 seconds and says SMART TV. I checked the power supply and visually all components look good. I unplugged the main board to see if the backlights would come on but they do not. I also tried my LED tester on the backlight plug and didn't get anything. I know some Samsungs will not light off a single led is out regardless of using a tester, so I'm thinking they are bad. I found a whole set for about $25 which isn't bad, but before I buy them is like to know if they would indeed cause a constant reboot like this tv is...

Hi please some assistance with my Samsung UA55NU7100 that is stuck in reboot.
I've read the post by Itelite on a Samsung UA65NU6900 with the same problem but this main board is different and doesn't have the 25v VGH voltage which was the problem that he had.

There is no legend indicating voltages on the socket/ cable going to the main board just a link marked 11.80 volts. This voltage reads 12.71v. Pins 3 to 9 also 12.71v. Pins 2,6,8,10,11 & 12 all 0.0v. Pin 1 fluctuates 3.01 to 0.0 volts and pin 4 fluctuates 3.25 to 0.0 volts.

The cpu gets very hot after 10...
