I think I would try to swivel the red circled tabs out. Not Sure so be easy.

Hi thanks for the replys @splitcrete you cannot swivel it. the two white pieces were connected in the middle before i broke it. @anmol i was trying that but it didnt freely come out but that was the only logical solution. do you know for sure if that is the method? thanks again guys.

Yes I'm thinking the same , try to pull it down! It must be "easy" to remove these cables , if this does not work try to pull it up.
Its hard to see as you broke it off haha.

finally! I decided to be brave. go hard or go home! pushed down with scissors and yanked it out, it fought back with vengeance but then gave in and poped out due to my sheer biscep strenght!

                      cheers guys

                          only a week!

fixed the tv in 5 minutes. basically it had backlight no image. then on the board a saw a X-Reality chip, now coming from a gaming background i knew that chip had a failed ball joint. 2 minutes of a heat gun TV working! and yes the delay was the connector as i suspected before it had a bad connection. love fixing sony's!

                                Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

No LCD image after connector replacement – lifted components and damaged resistor (Nintendo Switch Lite HDH-CPU-02)

                                Hi everyone,

Sorry for the person who’s going to read all this !
I'm on a Nintendo Switch Lite, motherboard HDH-CPU-02.

While replacing the left joystick, I had to remove the motherboard to access the connector underneath. When I lifted the LCD connector latch, it broke (the plastic had become brittle over time), so I replaced the entire connector.

During the desoldering of the LCD connector using hot air, three small components located just below the connector (likely 0402 capacitors) came off and remained stuck to the bottom of the...

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                Assuming...

Lenovo V15 and V17-IIL and probably others with 10th or 11th gen CPU suffer from a design flaw

The Lenovo laptops V15 and V17-IIL with I5 or i7 CPU and probably many other Lenovo laptop from this time with 10th or 11th generation Intel CPU suffer from a design flaw regarding the display/camera/microphone connector on the motherboard which is badly placed and the cheapest of the cheap connectors imaginable. As the cable is too near to the display and the connector does not fix it proper in place the cable develops little defects and those over time lead to a plethora of possible quirks or failures starting from the named RAM problem or sudden switching off in special when the display is...
